Once a man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees,
They seemed as men that lifted up Axes upon a thicket of trees.
It seems as if one had lifted up An axe in a forest of trees [to set a record of destruction].
They seemed like men who lifted up axes upon a thicket of trees to make themselves a record.

It was like men in a thicket of trees, wielding axes,

It looked like axes raised against a thicket of trees.
The place seemed like a thicket of trees when lumbermen hack away with their axes.
It looks like a forest chopped to pieces.
[A man] was known as he could lift up axes in the thicket of trees;
I said to the wicked: Do not act wickedly: and to the sinners: Lift not up the horn.
Their soldiers attacked the doors, like workmen chopping down trees.
They used axes to cut the temple into pieces, like people who cut down trees!
They looked like men swinging axes in a thicket of trees.
They were like those who swing axes in a forest of trees.

He that lifted the axes upon the thick trees, was renowned as one that brought a thing to perfection:
Starting from its entrance, they hacked away like a woodcutter in a forest.
They looked like woodsmen cutting down trees with their axes.
It was like men in a thicket of trees, wielding axes,
They came with axes raised as if to cut down a forest of trees.
As one blazes a trail through a forest with an ax,
Renowned, as one on the way to heaven, he who lifted up axes upon the thick trees for the work of the sanctuary.

Each seems like one who lifts up An axe against the undergrowth of trees.
They are known to be like those who wield axes in a thicket of trees.
Everything lies in shambles like a forest chopped to the ground. They came with their axes and sledgehammers and smashed and chopped the carved paneling;
While your people were at worship, your enemies barged in, brawling and scrawling graffiti. They set fire to the porch; axes swinging, they chopped up the woodwork, Beat down the doors with sledgehammers, then split them into kindling. They burned your holy place to the ground, violated the place of worship. They said to themselves, “We’ll wipe them all out,” and burned down all the places of worship.
They seem like men who lift up axes on a thicket of trees.
Starting from its entrance, they hacked away like a woodcutter in a forest.
They hacked away like a forester gathering boughs, swinging his ax in a thicket of trees.
It seems like one bringing up His axe into a forest of trees.
It seems as if one had lifted up His axe in a forest of trees.
They set upon it with their axes as if it were a thicket of trees.
They came with axes raised as if to cut down a forest of trees.
They invade like lumberjacks swinging their axes in a thick forest.
They acted like people cutting down a forest with axes.
They behaved like men wielding axes to cut through a thicket of trees.

They seem like men who lift up Axes among the thick trees.
They acted like men taking up axes against a group of trees.
They swung their axes like woodcutters in a forest.
