He turned the sea into dry land, they went through the flood on foot; there did we rejoice in Him.

When God made the sea dry up, our people walked across, and because of him, we celebrated there.

Let the people, O God, confess to thee: let all the people give praise to thee:
He changed the sea to dry land, and his people went across the water on foot. So let’s celebrate because of what he has done!
He caused the Red Sea to become dry land. Then his people walked across the Jordan River! So we praise him for what he did there!

He made a dry road through the sea for them. They went across on foot. What excitement and joy there was that day!
Take a good look at God’s wonders— they’ll take your breath away. He converted sea to dry land; travelers crossed the river on foot. Now isn’t that cause for a song?
