The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.
The isles have seen, and fear; the ends of the earth tremble; they draw near, and come.
The islands and coastlands have seen and they fear; The ends of the earth tremble; They have drawn near and have come.

People along the coast saw this, and they were frightened. Nations at the ends of the earth shook with fear. They have come near. They have arrived.
The people on the islands see what I am doing, and they are afraid. People all over the world shake with fear. They join together and they come near.

All you ·faraway places [or islands; or coastlands], look and be afraid; all you ·places far away on [ends of] the earth, shake with fear. Come close and ·listen to [approach] me.

The godmakers in the workshops go into overtime production, crafting new models of no-gods, Urging one another on—‘Good job!’ ‘Great design!’— pounding in nails at the base so that the things won’t tip over.

Seen have isles and fear, ends of the earth tremble, They have drawn near, yea, they come.
