For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
For when ye were servants of sin, ye were free in regard of righteousness.
When you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness [you had no desire to conform to God’s will].
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with regard to righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with regard to righteousness.
When you were slaves of sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in relationship to righteousness;
When you were slaves of sin, you didn't have to please God.
For when ye were bondmen of sin ye were free from righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free to righteousness.
For when you were the servants of sin, you were free men to justice.
In the past you were slaves to sin, and you did not even think about doing right.
When you were slaves to sin, you did not even have to think about what was right and good.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were freed from righteousness.
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from doing what God approves of.
When you were the slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free from allegiance to righteousness.
In the past you were slaves to sin, and goodness did not control you.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were “free” as far as righteousness was concerned.
Now, what shall we do? Shall we go on sinning because we have no Law to condemn us any more, but are living under grace? Never! Just think what it would mean. You belong to the power which you choose to obey, whether you choose sin, whose reward is death, or God, obedience to whom means the reward of righteousness. Thank God that you, who were at one time the servants of sin, honestly responded to the impact of Christ’s teaching when you came under its influence. Then, released from the service of sin, you entered the service of righteousness. (I use an everyday illustration because human nature grasps truth more readily that way.) In the past you voluntarily gave your bodies to the service of vice and wickedness—for the purpose of becoming wicked. So, now, give yourselves to the service of righteousness—for the purpose of becoming really good. For when you were employed by sin you owed no duty to righteousness. Yet what sort of harvest did you reap from those things that today you blush to remember? In the long run those things mean one thing only—death.
For being previously the slaves of sin, now ye have been made the slaves of righteousness.
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with respect to righteousness.
In those days when you were slaves of sin you didn’t bother much with goodness.
As long as you did what you felt like doing, ignoring God, you didn’t have to bother with right thinking or right living, or right anything for that matter. But do you call that a free life? What did you get out of it? Nothing you’re proud of now. Where did it get you? A dead end.
For when you were the slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with regard to righteousness.
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from doing what God approves of.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in relation to righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
When you were slaves of sin, you were free from the restraints of righteousness.
In the past you were slaves to sin, and goodness did not control you.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with regard to righteousness.
Once you were slaves of sin. At that time right living did not control you.
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
When sin had power over your life, you were not right with God.
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right.
For when you were the servants of sin, you were not under righteousness.
When you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
When you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
When you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
When you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
When you were slaves of sin, you see, you were free in respect of covenant justice.
For when you were avadim (slaves) of Chet, you were free in relation to Tzedek Olamim.
For when you were the servants of sin, you were freed from righteousness.
When you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
When you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with regard to righteousness.
In the days when you lived as slaves to sin, you had no obligation to do the right thing. In that regard, you were free.
For when you were servants of sin, you were free from righteousness.
When you were slaves to wrong things, you were free from doing good things.
For when ye were servants of sin, ye were free of rightwiseness.
