Remember how short my time is; why hast Thou made all men in vain?
Oh remember how short my time is: For what vanity hast thou created all the children of men!
Remember how fleeting my lifetime is; For what vanity, [for what emptiness, for what futility, for what wisp of smoke] You have created all the sons of men!
O [earnestly] remember how short my time is and what a mere fleeting life mine is. For what emptiness, falsity, futility, and frailty You have created all men!
Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
Remember how short my life is. Have you created everyone for nothing?
Remember how short my life is. Have you created everyone for nothing?
Remember how short my life is! Have you created humans for no good reason?
How long, Adonai? Will you hide yourself forever? How long will your fury burn like fire?
Remember, life is short! Why did you empty our lives of all meaning?
Remember, as regards me, what life is. Wherefore hast thou created all the children of men to be vanity?
Remember how short my life is. You created us to live a short life and then die.
Remember that my life is very short! People are weak and their lives seem useless. Why do you make people like that?
Remember me! What is my life! For you have created such futility for all the children of Adam!

Remember how ·short [fleeting] my life is. Why did you create us? For ·nothing [futility; vanity; no purpose]?
Remember of what time I am: wherefore shouldest thou create in vain all the children of men?
Remember how short my life is! Have you created Adam’s descendants for no reason?
Remember how short my life is; remember that you created all of us mortal!

Remember how short my lifetime is! How powerless have you created all human beings!
Remember how short my time is; why hast thou made all men subject to vanity?
Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?

Remember what my span of life is; For what vanity You have created all the sons of men!
Remember what my lifespan is. Remember for what vanity you have created all the children of humankind.
Oh, remember how short you have made man’s lifespan. Is it an empty, futile life you give the sons of men?
But God, you did walk off and leave us, you lost your temper with the one you anointed. You tore up the promise you made to your servant, you stomped his crown in the mud. You blasted his home to kingdom come, reduced his city to a pile of rubble Picked clean by wayfaring strangers, a joke to all the neighbors. You declared a holiday for all his enemies, and they’re celebrating for all they’re worth. Angry, you opposed him in battle, refused to fight on his side; You robbed him of his splendor, humiliated this warrior, ground his kingly honor in the dirt. You took the best years of his life and left him an impotent, ruined husk. How long do we put up with this, God? Are you gone for good? Will you hold this grudge forever? Remember my sorrow and how short life is. Did you create men and women for nothing but this? We’ll see death soon enough. Everyone does. And there’s no back door out of hell. So where is the love you’re so famous for, Lord? What happened to your promise to David? Take a good look at your servant, dear Lord; I’m the butt of the jokes of all nations, The taunting jokes of your enemies, God, as they dog the steps of your dear anointed. Blessed be God forever and always! Yes. Oh, yes.
Remember how short my time is! Why have You made all people in such emptiness?

Remember what my lifespan is; For what futility You have created all the sons of mankind!
Remember what my span of life is; For what vanity You have created all the sons of men!
How long, O Lord? Will you remain hidden forever? How long will your wrath blaze like a fire?
Remember how short my life is. Why did you create us? For nothing?
Take note of my brief lifespan. Why do you make all people so mortal?
Remember how short my life is. You have created all people for such a useless purpose!
Remember how fleeting is my life. For what futility you have created all humanity!

Bethink thou what is my substance; for whether thou hast ordained vainly all the sons of men? (Remember thou what my substance is/how short my time is; hast thou ordained all the sons of men in vain?)
