There they were in great fear, where no fear was; for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee; thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.

But you will be terrified worse than ever before. God will scatter the bones of his enemies, and you will be ashamed when God rejects you.

For strangers have risen up against me; and the mighty have sought after my soul: and they have not set God before their eyes.
They will be filled with fear— a fear like they have never felt before! People of Israel, you will defeat those who attacked you, because God has rejected them. And he will scatter their bones.
But now they are very afraid when there is nothing to be afraid of! God has completely won against his enemies, the people that attack you, his people. God has turned against them, so you are able to make them ashamed!
There they are, terrified, where there was nothing to fear. For God scattered the bones of those who camped against you. You put them to shame, because God despised them.

There they are—panic-stricken— ⌞but⌟ there was no reason to panic, because God has scattered the bones of those who set up camp against you. You put them to shame. After all, God has rejected them.
But then they will become terrified, as they have never been before, for God will scatter the bones of the enemies of his people. God has rejected them, and so Israel will totally defeat them.
Then they will be filled with terror— terror like no other— because God will scatter the bones of those who besiege you. You will put them to shame, for God has rejected them.

There they are—panic-stricken— but there was no reason to panic, because Elohim has scattered the bones of those who set up camp against you. You put them to shame. After all, Elohim has rejected them.
Do they not know better, those who do evil, who feed upon my people as they feed upon bread? Have they not called upon God?

Just look at them! They are filled with terror even when there is nothing to be afraid of! People of Israel, God scattered the bones of those who attacked you. You put them to shame, because God hated them.
But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, where there was nothing to dread. God scattered the bones of those who attacked you; you put them to shame, for God despised them.
