Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones which Thou hast broken may rejoice.

Still, you want truth in the inner person; so make me know wisdom in my inmost heart.
Let me be happy and joyful! You crushed my bones, now let them celebrate.
Make me to hear gladness and joy; [that] the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
The just shall see and fear, and shall laugh at him, and say:
Let me hear sounds of joy and happiness again. Let the bones you crushed be happy again.
Please forgive me so that I can be happy. Then my whole body will feel well again.
Let me hear joy and gladness. Let the bones you have crushed celebrate.
Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice.

Make me hear sounds of joy and gladness; let the bones you crushed ·be happy [rejoice] again.

Let me hear the sounds of joy and gladness; and though you have crushed me and broken me, I will be happy once again.

And after you have punished me, give me back my joy again.
Soak me in your laundry and I’ll come out clean, scrub me and I’ll have a snow-white life. Tune me in to foot-tapping songs, set these once-broken bones to dancing. Don’t look too close for blemishes, give me a clean bill of health. God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. Don’t throw me out with the trash, or fail to breathe holiness in me. Bring me back from gray exile, put a fresh wind in my sails! Give me a job teaching rebels your ways so the lost can find their way home. Commute my death sentence, God, my salvation God, and I’ll sing anthems to your life-giving ways. Unbutton my lips, dear God; I’ll let loose with your praise.

Behold, you desire true sincerity; and secretly you teach me wisdom.
Let me hear joy and gladness, Let the bones You have broken rejoice.

But you desire sincerity of heart; and you endow my innermost being with wisdom.
Make me hear sounds of joy and gladness; let the bones you crushed be happy again.
Grant me the ultimate joy of being forgiven. May the bones you crushed rejoice.
Let me hear you say, “Your sins are forgiven.” That will bring me joy and gladness. Let the body you have broken be glad.
Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice.

Surely You desire truth in the inner being. Make me know wisdom inwardly.
Help me hear joy and happiness as my accompaniment, so my bones, which You have broken, will dance in delight instead.

Give thou joy, and gladness to mine hearing; and bones made meek shall full out make joy. (Let me hear the sounds of joy, and of gladness; and then the bones, which thou hast broken and bruised, shall make great joy, or rejoice.)
Thou causest me to hear joy and gladness, Thou makest joyful bones Thou hast bruised.
