We humans are praised when we do well, and all of us are glad to be alive.

If thou didst see a thief thou didst run with him: and with adulterers thou hast been a partaker.
A wealthy man might tell himself how well he has done in life. And other people might praise him.
While he lived, he was happy with his life. He thought, ‘People will praise me, because I am rich.’
Throughout his life he congratulates himself: “People praise you because you have done so well for yourself.”
For though, while he lives, he counts himself blessed— and though you get praise when you do well for yourself—
For though, while he lives, he counts himself blessed —and though you get praise when you do well for yourself—
Even though they were ·praised [blessed] when they were alive— and people may praise you when you ·succeed [do well]—
For while he lived, he rejoiced himself; and men will praise thee, when thou makest much of thyself.

Even if someone is satisfied with this life and is praised because he is successful,
Though he praises himself during his lifetime— and people praise you when you do well for yourself—
He was praised when he was alive. (And people may praise you when you succeed.)

So don’t be impressed with those who get rich and pile up fame and fortune. They can’t take it with them; fame and fortune all get left behind. Just when they think they’ve arrived and folks praise them because they’ve made good, They enter the family burial plot where they’ll never see sunshine again.
