1 He exhorteth good men to praise God, for that he hath not only created all things, and by his providence governeth the same, but also is faithful in his promises, 10 he understandeth man’s heart, and scattereth the counsel of the wicked, 16 so that no man can be preserved by any creature or man’s strength: by they, that put their confidence in his mercy, shall be preserved from all adversities. Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for it becometh upright men to be thankful.
Joyfully sing to the Lord, you righteous people. Praising ⌞the Lord⌟ is proper for decent people.
All you that are righteous, shout for joy for what the Lord has done; praise him, all you that obey him.

Let all the joys of the godly well up in praise to the Lord, for it is right to praise him.
Good people, cheer God! Right-living people sound best when praising. Use guitars to reinforce your Hallelujahs! Play his praise on a grand piano! Compose your own new song to him; give him a trumpet fanfare.
