They say, “Let's cut the ropes and set ourselves free!”
Let us break their bonds asunder, and cast away their cords from us!

They say, “Let’s rebel against them. Let’s break free from them!”
They say, ‘We will not accept their authority over us! We will get free from their power!’
“Let us tear off their chains and throw off their ropes from us.”
“Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.”

“Come, let us break his chains,” they say, “and free ourselves from all this slavery to God.”
Why the big noise, nations? Why the mean plots, peoples? Earth-leaders push for position, Demagogues and delegates meet for summit talks, The God-deniers, the Messiah-defiers: “Let’s get free of God! Cast loose from Messiah!” Heaven-throned God breaks out laughing. At first he’s amused at their presumption; Then he gets good and angry. Furiously, he shuts them up: “Don’t you know there’s a King in Zion? A coronation banquet Is spread for him on the holy summit.”
“Let us tear off their bonds and cast away their ropes from us.”
“Let’s break apart their chains and shake off their ropes.”
“Let us break their shackles and cast off their chains from us!”
“Let’s tear their shackles apart And throw their ropes away from us!”
“Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!”
“Let us finally break their shackles and cast away their chains from us.”
They say, “Let’s break the chains that hold us back and throw off the ropes that tie us down.”
They say, “Let’s tear off the shackles they’ve put on us. Let’s free ourselves from their ropes.”
“Let us break free from their chains,” they say. “Let us throw off their ropes.”

They say, “Let us break their chains and throw them away from us.”
“Let us break their chains,” they cry, “and free ourselves from slavery to God.”
‘Let us burst their bonds asunder, and cast their cords from us.’

How they can throw off the gentle reign of God’s love, step out from under the restrictions of His claims to advance their own schemes.
“Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.”
Break we the bonds of them; and cast we away the yoke of them from us. (And they said, Let us break their bonds, that is, their rule over us; yea, let us throw off their yoke from us.)
