Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man; preserve me from the violent man,

Rescue me from evil people, Lord! Guard me from violent people

I have cried to the, O Lord, hear me: hearken to my voice, when I cry to thee.
To the director: A praise song of David. Lord, save me from people who are evil. Protect me from those who are cruel,
This is a song that David wrote. It is for the music leader. Lord, please save me from evil people. Keep me safe from people who like to attack others.
Keep me safe, Lord, from the evil man. Protect me from the violent man,

1 David complaineth of the cruelty, falsehood and injuries of his enemies. 8 Against the which he prayeth unto the Lord, and assureth himself of his help and succor. 12 Wherefore he provoketh the just to praise the Lord, and to assure themselves of his tuition. O Lord, deliver me from evil men. Preserve me from the violent,
God, get me out of here, away from this evil; protect me from these vicious people. All they do is think up new ways to be bad; they spend their days plotting war games. They practice the sharp rhetoric of hate and hurt, speak venomous words that maim and kill. God, keep me out of the clutch of these wicked ones, protect me from these vicious people; All boast and swagger, they plot ways to trip me up, determined to bring me down. These crooks invent traps to catch me and do their best to incriminate me.
