O Lord, Thou hast searched me and known me.

Lord, you have examined me. You know me.
For the leader. A psalm of David: Adonai, you have probed me, and you know me.

Unto the end, a psalm for David.
To the director: A praise song of David. Lord, you have tested me, so you know all about me.
This is a song that David wrote. It is for the music leader. Lord, you look deep inside me, and you know all about me.
Lord, you have investigated me, and you know.

1 David cleanseth his heart from all hypocrisy, showeth that there is nothing so hid, which God seeth not. 13 Which he confirmeth by the creation of man. 14 After declaring his zeal and fear of God, he professeth to be enemy to all them that contemn God. O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.
God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. I’m an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back; I’m never out of your sight. You know everything I’m going to say before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and you’re there, then up ahead and you’re there, too— your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful— I can’t take it all in!
