“many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me.
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth up: Yet they have not prevailed against me.
“Many times they have persecuted me from my youth, Yet they have not prevailed against me.
Many a time and much have they afflicted me from my youth up, yet they have not prevailed against me.
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.
since my youth they have often attacked me, but they have not prevailed against me.

from youth people have constantly attacked me— but they haven’t beaten me!
since I was young they have often attacked me, but they haven’t overcome me.
“Since the time I was young, enemies have often attacked! But they have not defeated me,
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth; yet they have not prevailed against me.
Lord, hear my voice. Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
All my life enemies have attacked me, but they have never defeated me.
‘They have often attacked me since I was young, but they have not won against me.
greatly they have afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not been able to defeat me.
“Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me.
“Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me.
·They have treated me badly all my life [L Many are my foes from my youth], but they have not ·defeated [overcome; prevailed over] me.
They have oftentimes afflicted me from my youth: but they could not prevail against me.
“From the time I was young, people have attacked me, but they have never overpowered me.
“Ever since I was young, my enemies have persecuted me cruelly, but they have not overcome me.
Since my youth they have often attacked me, but they have not prevailed against me.
They have treated me badly all my life. But they have not defeated me.
“Since my youth they have often persecuted me, yet they haven’t defeated me.
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth; yet they have not prevailed against me.

“Too often they have attacked me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me.
and faced with never-ending discrimination—but not destroyed! My enemies have never been able to finish me off!
“They’ve kicked me around ever since I was young” —this is how Israel tells it— “They’ve kicked me around ever since I was young, but they never could keep me down. Their plowmen plowed long furrows up and down my back; But God wouldn’t put up with it, he sticks with us. Then God ripped the harnesses of the evil plowmen to shreds.”

Viciously have they attacked me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me.
“Many times they have attacked me from my youth up; Yet they have not prevailed against me.

they have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but never have my enemies prevailed against me.
They have treated me badly all my life, but they have not defeated me.
“Since my youth they have often attacked me, but they have not defeated me.
My enemies have treated me badly ever since I was a young nation. But they haven’t won the battle.
“they have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but they have not gained the victory over me.

“Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth; Yet they have not prevailed against me.
“They have made it hard for me many times since I was young. But they have not won over me.
From my earliest youth my enemies have persecuted me, but they have never defeated me.

Many a time have they afflicted me from my ne’ur (youth); yet they have not prevailed against me.
“They have oftentimes afflicted me from my youth. But they could not prevail against me.
“Sorely have they afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me.
“Sorely have they afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me.
“How greatly they have been hostile to me, even from my youth. Yet they have not prevailed against me.
“This is not the first time my enemies assaulted me; they have attacked me since I was young, and yet they have not been able to overpower me.
many times they have afflicted me from my youth up, yet they have not prevailed against me.
Oft they [have] fought against me from my youth; and soothly they might not to me (Yea, they have often fought against me from my youth; but truly they could never overcome me.)
Often they distressed me from my youth, Yet they have not prevailed over me.
