for the froward is an abomination to the Lord, but His secret is with the righteous.
For the perverse is an abomination to Jehovah; But his friendship is with the upright.
For the devious are repulsive to the Lord; But His private counsel is with the upright [those with spiritual integrity and moral courage].
For the perverse are an abomination [extremely disgusting and detestable] to the Lord; but His confidential communion and secret counsel are with the [uncompromisingly] righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with Him).
