Lie not in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place;
Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the habitation of the righteous; Destroy not his resting-place:

Lie not in wait as a wicked man against the dwelling of the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright, in right standing with God); destroy not his resting-place;
Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place:
Don’t set an ambush, you wicked one, at the camp of the righteous man; don’t destroy his dwelling.
Wicked one, don’t wait secretly at the home of the righteous. Don’t destroy their dwelling.
Don’t lurk like an outlaw near the home of the righteous, don’t raid the place where he lives.
Don't be a cruel person who attacks good people and hurts their families.
Lay not wait, O wicked [man], against the dwelling of the righteous; lay not waste his resting-place.
Lie not in wait, nor seek after wickedness in the house of the just, nor spoil his rest.
Don’t be like a criminal who makes plans to rob those who are good or take away their homes.
27. Do not be like wicked people who attack righteous people. Do not try to rob the homes of honest people.
Do not be like the wicked who attack the home of the righteous. Do not destroy his resting place,
Lie not in wait as a wicked man against the dwelling of the righteous; do no violence to his home;

Don’t be wicked and ·attack [ambush; lie in wait at] a ·good [righteous] family’s house; don’t ·rob [or destroy] the place where they live.

You wicked one, do not lie in ambush at the home of a righteous person. Do not rob his house.
Don't be like the wicked who scheme to rob honest people or to take away their homes.
Wicked man, don’t set an ambush, at the camp of the righteous man; don’t destroy his dwelling.
Don’t be like the wicked and attack a good man’s house. Don’t rob the place where he lives.

O evil man, leave the upright man alone and quit trying to cheat him out of his rights. Don’t you know that this good man, though you trip him up seven times, will each time rise again? But one calamity is enough to lay you low.
Don’t interfere with good people’s lives; don’t try to get the best of them. No matter how many times you trip them up, God-loyal people don’t stay down long; Soon they’re up on their feet, while the wicked end up flat on their faces.

O sinful man, do not lie in wait against the house of the man who is right with God. Do not destroy his resting place.
