Thus cleansed I them from all foreigners, and appointed charges for the priests and for the Levites, every one in his work;

So I made the priests and Levites clean and pure. I took away all the foreigners and the strange things they taught. And I gave the Levites and priests their own duties and responsibilities.
After that, I made the priests and the Levites clean to serve God. I made them become separate from any foreign thing. I told each of them which job they should do.
So I purified them of everything foreign, and I established duties for the priests and the Levites—each man had his own work.
