And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him two.

And whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.
And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two [miles].
And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

When they force you to go one mile, go with them two.
And if a soldier forces you to carry his pack for one mile, carry it for two!
If a soldier forces you to carry his pack one kilometer, carry it two kilometers.
And whoever will compel thee to go one mile, go with him two.
And whoever will press you into service for one mile, go with him two.
And whosoever will force thee one mile, go with him other two,
If a soldier forces you to walk with him one mile, go with him two.
Or a soldier may tell you, “Carry my luggage for one kilometre.” You should do that. Even agree to carry it for two kilometres.
Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.
And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
If someone forces you to go with him one mile, go with him two miles [C alluding to the practice of impressment, whereby a Roman soldier could command a civilian to carry his gear for a mile].
And whosoever will compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
If someone forces you to go one mile, go two miles with him.
And if one of the occupation troops forces you to carry his pack one mile, carry it two miles.
And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two.
If a soldier forces you to go with him one mile, then go with him two miles.
And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go two with him.
“If a man wants to sue you for your coat, let him have it and your overcoat as well. If anybody forces you to go a mile with him, do more—go two miles with him. Give to the man who asks anything from you, and don’t turn away from the man who wants to borrow.”

If the military demand that you carry their gear for a mile, carry it two.
“Here’s another old saying that deserves a second look: ‘Eye for eye, tooth for tooth.’ Is that going to get us anywhere? Here’s what I propose: ‘Don’t hit back at all.’ If someone strikes you, stand there and take it. If someone drags you into court and sues for the shirt off your back, giftwrap your best coat and make a present of it. And if someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life. No more tit-for-tat stuff. Live generously.
