and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant,
and whosoever would be first among you shall be your servant:
and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your [willing and humble] slave;
And whoever desires to be first among you must be your slave—
And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave;
and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave;
Whoever wants to be first among you will be your slave—
and whoever wants to be first must be your slave!
And if you want to be first, you must be the slave of the rest.
and whosoever will be first among you, let him be your bondman;
and whoever wants to be first among you shall be your slave—
And he that will be first among you, shall be your servant.
Whoever wants to be first must serve the rest of you like a slave.
The person who wants to be the most important person among you must work hard for everyone else.
and whoever wants to be first among you will be your slave—
and whoever would be first among you must be your slave,
and whoever would be first among you must be your slave,
Whoever wants to become first among you must ·serve all of you like a slave [L be slave of all].
And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant.
Whoever wants to be most important among you will be your slave.
and if one of you wants to be first, you must be the slave of the others—
and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave;
If one of you wants to become first, then he must serve the rest of you like a slave.
and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave.
But Jesus called them to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the heathen lord it over them and that their great ones have absolute power? But it must not be so among you. No, whoever among you wants to be great must become the servant of you all, and if he wants to be first among you he must be your slave—just as the Son of Man has not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life to set many others free.”

And if you want to be right at the top, you must serve like a slave.
When the ten others heard about this, they lost their tempers, thoroughly disgusted with the two brothers. So Jesus got them together to settle things down. He said, “You’ve observed how godless rulers throw their weight around, how quickly a little power goes to their heads. It’s not going to be that way with you. Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served—and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage.” * * *

If any of you wants to be first, he must be the slave of all.
And whoever wishes among you to be rishon (first) will be your eved (servant).
