But those husbandmen said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.’

But those tenants said to each other, ‘This man is the heir! Come on, let us kill him [and destroy the evidence], and his inheritance will be ours!’
But those tenants said to one another, Here is the heir; come on, let us put him to death, and [then] the inheritance will be ours.
But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be our’s.
But those tenant farmers said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
But those tenant farmers said to one another, “This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.”
But those tenant farmers said to each other, ‘This is the heir. Let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
But the tenants said to each other, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours!’
But they said to themselves, “Someday he will own this vineyard. Let's kill him! That way we can have it all for ourselves.”
But those husbandmen said to one another, This is the heir: come, let us kill him and the inheritance will be ours.
But those farmers said to themselves that ‘This one is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours’.
But the husbandmen said one to another: This is the heir; come let us kill him; and the inheritance shall be ours.
“But the farmers said to each other, ‘This is the owner’s son, and this vineyard will be his. If we kill him, it will be ours.’
But those farmers said to each other, “This is the son of our master. The garden will belong to him when his father dies. We should kill the son and then the garden will be ours.”
But those tenant farmers said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come on, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
“But the farmers said to each other, ‘This son will inherit the vineyard. Let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
But the husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.
“But those workers said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the owner's son. Come on, let's kill him, and his property will be ours!’
“But those tenant farmers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours!’
“But they said to each other, ‘This is the owner’s son. This vineyard will be his. If we kill him, then it will be ours.’
But those farmers told one another, ‘This is the heir. Come on, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours!’
Then he began to talk to them in parables. “A man once planted a vineyard,” he said, “fenced it round, dug out the hole for the wine-press and built a watch-tower. Then he let it out to some farm-workers and went abroad. At the end of the season he sent a servant to the tenants to receive his share of the vintage. But they got hold of him, knocked him about and sent him off empty-handed. The owner tried again. He sent another servant to them, but this one they knocked on the head and generally insulted. Once again he sent them another servant, but him they murdered. He sent many others and some they beat up and some they murdered. He had one man left—his own son who was very dear to him. He sent him last of all to the tenants, saying to himself, ‘They will surely respect my own son.’ But they said to each other, ‘This fellow is the future owner—come on, let’s kill him, and the property will be ours! So they got hold of him and murdered him, and threw his body out of the vineyard. What do you suppose the owner of the vineyard is going to do? He will come and destroy the men who were working his vineyard and will hand it over to others. Have you never read this scripture—‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?’”
But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the place shall be ours.

“But when the farmers saw him coming they said, ‘He will own the farm when his father dies. Come on, let’s kill him—and then the farm will be ours!’
“But those farmhands saw their chance. They rubbed their hands together in greed and said, ‘This is the heir! Let’s kill him and have it all for ourselves.’ They grabbed him, killed him, and threw him over the fence.
“But those vinedressers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
But those · tenants said to themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
“But those workers said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’

‘But the tenants said to one another, “This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.”
But those vinedressers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
The farmers said to themselves, ‘This is the one who will get everything when the owner dies. Let us kill him and we will get everything.’
“But the tenant farmers said to one another, ‘Here comes the heir to this estate. Let’s kill him and get the estate for ourselves!’
But the tenants said amongst themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.
But those tenants said to one another, “This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.”
But those tenants said to one another, “This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.”

But those koremim said to themselves, This one is the Yoresh (Heir) the Bechor. Come, let us kill him, and the nachalah, the bechorah, will be ours.
“But the farmers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him. And the inheritance shall be ours.’
But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
“But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir! Come on, let’s kill him and the inheritance will be ours!’
But when the tenant farmers saw the owner’s son coming, they said among themselves, “Look at this! It’s the son, the heir to this vineyard. If we kill him, then the land will be ours!”
But those farmers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
But the men said to each other, "This is the one who will have everything when his father dies. Let us kill him. Then everything will belong to us."
But the earth-tillers said together [said to themselves], This is the heir; come ye, slay we him, and the heritage shall be ours.
and those husbandmen said among themselves -- This is the heir, come, we may kill him, and ours shall be the inheritance;
