He replied, “Collect no more than you are authorized to collect.”
“Collect no more than the government assesses,” he told them.
John told them, “Don't make people pay more than they owe.”
And he said to them, Take no more [money] than what is appointed to you.
And the one said to them, “Be collecting nothing more than the amount having been commanded”.
But he said to them: Do nothing more than that which is appointed you.
He told them, “Don’t take more taxes from people than you have been ordered to collect.”
John told them, ‘You must take the right amount of money from people. You must not take more money than the rules say you should take.’
To them he said, “Collect no more than what you were authorized to.”
And he said to them, “Collect no more than you are authorized to do.”
And he said to them, “Collect no more than you are authorized to do.”
John said to them, “Don’t take more taxes from people than ·you have been ordered to take [is prescribed/authorized].”
And he said unto them, Require no more than that which is appointed unto you.
He told them, “Don’t collect more money than you are ordered to collect.”
“Don't collect more than is legal,” he told them.
He told them, “Don’t collect any more than what you have been authorized.”
John said to them, “Don’t take more taxes from people than you have been ordered to take.”
He told them, “Stop collecting more money than the amount you are told to collect.”
“You must not demand more than you are entitled to,” he replied.
And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.

He told them, “Don’t collect more money than you are ordered to collect.”
He answered them, “Stop collecting more than what is prescribed.”
And he said to them, “Collect no more than what you have been ordered to.”

He answered them, “Cease collecting more than the amount prescribed.”
John said to them, “Don’t take more taxes from people than you have been ordered to take.”
