The gold earrings that Gideon had asked for weighed about forty-three pounds—and that didn’t include the crescents and pendants, the purple robes worn by the Midianite kings, and the ornaments hung around the necks of their camels.
They said, “We will certainly give them.” So they spread out a cloak, and each man threw a ring of his spoils there.

Which answered, We shall give (you them) most gladly. And they spreaded forth a mantle on the earth, and casted forth therein [the] earrings of the prey;
And they say, `We certainly give;' and they spread out the garment, and cast thither each the ring of his prey;
