They came upon me as a wide breaking in of waters; in the desolation they rolled themselves upon me.
As through a wide breach they come: In the midst of the ruin they roll themselves upon me.
“As through a wide breach they come, Amid the crash [of falling walls] they roll on [over me].

They have rushed in upon me, as when a wall is broken, and a gate opened, and have rolled themselves down to my miseries.
They break a hole in the wall and come rushing through it, and the crashing rocks fall on me.
I cannot stop them when they attack me. They rush forward to knock me down.
They pour through the breach in my wall. They roll in through the ruins.
As through a wide breach they come; amid the crash they roll on.

They come at me as if through a ·hole in the wall [wide breech], and they roll in among the ruins.
They came as a great breach of waters, and under this calamity they come on heaps.

They pour through the holes in my defenses and come crashing down on top of me;
They advance as through a gaping breach; they keep rolling in through the ruins.
They go forward as if through a hole in the wall. They roll in among the ruins.
They come like those who breach through a wall; as everything crashes around me they’ll roll on and on!
They came in as through a wide breach; they were stirred up because of my calamity.

“But now I’m the one they’re after, mistreating me, taunting and mocking. They abhor me, they abuse me. How dare those scoundrels—they spit in my face! Now that God has undone me and left me in a heap, they hold nothing back. Anything goes. They come at me from my blind side, trip me up, then jump on me while I’m down. They throw every kind of obstacle in my path, determined to ruin me— and no one lifts a finger to help me! They violate my broken body, trample through the rubble of my ruined life. Terrors assault me— my dignity in shreds, salvation up in smoke.

They burst forward through a gaping breach and advance in waves.
They come at me as if through a hole in the wall, and they roll in among the ruins.
They come in as through a wide breach; amid the crash they come rolling in.
They attack me like troops smashing through a wall. Among the destroyed buildings they come rolling in.
They advance as through a gaping breach; amid the ruins they come rolling in.

As through a wall breached, they advance easily. Their thunderstorm of wheels rolled across my ruins.

They felled in upon me as by a broken wall, and by (a) gate opened (and by an opened gate), and (they) were stretched forth to my wretchednesses.
As a wide breach they come, Under the desolation have rolled themselves.
