Have ye not asked them that go along the way? And do ye not know their tokens,
Have ye not asked wayfaring men? And do ye not know their evidences,
“Have you not asked those who travel this way, And do you not recognize their witness?
Have you not asked those who travel this way, and do you not accept their testimony and evidences—
Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,
Have you never consulted those who travel the roads? Don’t you accept their reports?

Haven’t you asked travelers or paid attention to their reports?
Haven’t you ever questioned travelers? Don’t you accept their testimony
Everyone, near and far, agrees
Have ye not asked the wayfarers? and do ye not regard their tokens:
Ask any one of them that go by the way, and you shall perceive that he knoweth these same things.
“Surely you have talked with travelers. Surely you will accept their stories.
But you should ask people who travel to different places. You should listen to the things that they say.
Why don’t you question those who travel the roads? Why don’t you acknowledge the lessons they learned?
Have you not asked those who travel the roads, and do you not accept their testimony

Have you never asked those who ·travel [L pass by on the road]? Have you ·never listened to their stories [L not recognized their signs]?
May ye not ask them that go by the way? and ye cannot deny their signs.
Haven’t you asked travelers? But you didn’t pay attention to their directions.
Haven't you talked with people who travel? Don't you know the reports they bring back?
Have you never consulted those who travel the roads? Don’t you accept their reports?
You have never asked those who travel. You have not listened to their stories.
Haven’t you asked travelers on the highway? Don’t you accept their word
Have ye not asked those that go by the way, and do ye not know their tokens?

Have you not asked those who pass by along the way, And do you not recognize their witness?
Do you not ask those traveling the roads, and do you not take notice of their accounts?
But I reply, Ask anyone who has been around and he can tell you the truth,
“I’m not deceived. I know what you’re up to, the plans you’re cooking up to bring me down. Naively you claim that the castles of tyrants fall to pieces, that the achievements of the wicked collapse. Have you ever asked world travelers how they see it? Have you not listened to their stories Of evil men and women who got off scot-free, who never had to pay for their wickedness? Did anyone ever confront them with their crimes? Did they ever have to face the music? Not likely—they’re given fancy funerals with all the trimmings, Gently lowered into expensive graves, with everyone telling lies about how wonderful they were.
Have you not asked them who travel the road? And do you not know their signs?

But I say, have you never consulted with those who travel this world? They can tell you the complexions of many lands. But you’ve never permitted their witness in your courts of opinion, have you?
