For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
For what careth he for his house after him, When the number of his months is cut off?
“For what pleasure does he have in his house and family after he is dead, When the number of his months [of life] is cut off?
For what pleasure or interest has a man in his house and family after he is dead, when the number of his months is cut off?
For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
For what does he care about his family once he is dead, when the number of his months has run out?
For what does he care about his family once he is dead, when the number of his months has run out?
What do they care about their household after they die, when their numbered days are cut off?
What joy can they have in their family after them, given that their months are numbered?
Because after they are dead, they won't care what happens to their children.”
For what pleasure should he have in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off?
For what is it to him what befalleth his house after him: and if the number of his months be diminished by one half?
When their life is finished and they are dead, they will not care about the family they leave behind.
After wicked people have died, it does not matter to them if their family suffers.
for what does he care about his household after his death, when his allotment of months has run out?
For what do they care for their houses after them, when the number of their months is cut off?
For what do they care for their houses after them, when the number of their months is cut off?
They do not care about the families they leave behind when their lives have come to an end.
For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off?
How can he be interested in his family after he’s gone, when the number of his months is cut short?
When our lives are over, do we really care whether our children are happy?
For what does he care about his family once he is dead, when the number of his months has run out?
He does not care about the family he leaves behind when his life has come to an end.
What will they care for their household after them, when the number of his months comes to an end?”
For what delight shall he have in his house after him, being cut off in the number of his months?
For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?

For what desire does he have for his household after him, When the number of his months is cut off?

For when he is dead, then he will never again be able to enjoy his family.
“Still, how often does it happen that the wicked fail, or disaster strikes, or they get their just deserts? How often are they blown away by bad luck? Not very often. You might say, ‘God is saving up the punishment for their children.’ I say, ‘Give it to them right now so they’ll know what they’ve done!’ They deserve to experience the effects of their evil, feel the full force of God’s wrath firsthand. What do they care what happens to their families after they’re safely tucked away in the grave?
For what do they care about their households after them, when the number of their months is cut off?
How can he be interested in his family after he’s gone, when the number of his months is cut short?
For what interest has he in his family after him, when the number of his months is finished?
For what does he care about his household after him, When the number of his months is at an end?

For what concern will he have for his family once his allotted number of months has been completed?
They do not care about the families they leave behind when their lives have come to an end.
For what is his interest in his home after his death, when the number of his months has been broken off?

After all, once he’s dead and gone and his time is up, what will he care for his household and family?

For why what pertaineth it to him of his house(hold) after him, though the number of his months be half taken away? (For what careth him about his family, or his children, after him, when his own days and months be numbered?)
