Adonai said to the Adversary, “Here! He is in your hands, except that you are to spare his life.”
“All right!” the Lord replied. “Make Job suffer as much as you want, but just don't kill him.”
And Jehovah said to Satan, Behold, he is in thy hand; only spare his life.
And the Lord said to Satan: Behold be is in thy hand, but yet save his life.
So the Lord said to Satan, “All right, Job is in your hands, but you are not allowed to kill him.”
So the Lord said to Satan, ‘I agree to give you power over Job himself. But you must not cause his death.’
The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hand, but preserve his life.”

Then the Lord told Satan, “Very well then, he is under your control. Just preserve his life.”

Therefore the Lord said to Satan, Lo! he is in thine hand; nevertheless keep thou his life. (And so the Lord said to Satan, Lo! he is in thy hands, or under thy power; but do not thou kill him.)
