God has me trapped with a wall of darkness
He hath hedged up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths.
He hath hedged in my path round about, and I cannot pass, and in my way he hath set darkness.
God has blocked my way to keep me from getting through. He has hidden my path in darkness.
God has stopped me so that I cannot move forward. He has made my path dark so that I cannot see the way to go.
He has blocked my way, so I cannot get by. He has brought darkness on my paths.
He has walled up my way, so that I cannot pass, and he has set darkness upon my paths.

He destroyed my reputation, robbed me of all self-respect. He tore me apart piece by piece—I’m ruined! Then he yanked out hope by the roots. He’s angry with me—oh, how he’s angry! He treats me like his worst enemy. He has launched a major campaign against me, using every weapon he can think of, coming at me from all sides at once.
