Job 16:21

O, that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbor!
That he would maintain the right of a man with God, And of a son of man with his neighbor!
“Oh, that a man would mediate and plead with God [for me] Just as a man [mediates and pleads] with his neighbor and friend.
Oh, that there might be one who would plead for a man with God and that he would maintain his right with Him, as a son of man pleads with or for his neighbor!
O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!
I wish that someone might argue for a man with God just as anyone would for a friend.
let him plead with God for a human being, like a person pleads for a friend.
that he would arbitrate between a man and God, just as one does for his fellow human being.
to show that I am right, just as a friend should.
Oh that there were arbitration for a man with +God, as a son of man for his friend!
My friends are full of words: my eye poureth out tears to God.
He speaks to God for me, like someone presenting an argument for a friend.
I need someone to speak to God on my behalf. He should ask God not to punish me, as someone might try to help his friends.
My intercessor pleads with God for a man, as another human pleads for his friend.
that he would argue the case of a man with God, as a son of man does with his neighbor.
that he would argue the case of a man with God, as a son of man does with his neighbour.
He ·begs God [negotiates/arbitrates with God] on behalf of a human as a person ·begs for [negotiates/arbitrates with] his friend.
Oh that a man might plead with God, as man with his neighbor!
But my witness will plead for a human in front of God. The Son of Man will plead for his friend!
I want someone to plead with God for me, as one pleads for a friend.
I wish that someone might arbitrate between a man and God just as a man pleads for his friend.
He begs God on behalf of a man as a man begs for his friend.
crying for him to arbitrate between this man and God; as a human being does with his fellow neighbor.
O that a man might dispute with God, as he can with his neighbour!
O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!
O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!
O that a man might argue with God As a man with his neighbor!
and it argues for a mortal with God, and as a human for his friend.
pleading that he will listen as a man would listen to his neighbor.
“O Earth, don’t cover up the wrong done to me! Don’t muffle my cry! There must be Someone in heaven who knows the truth about me, in highest heaven, some Attorney who can clear my name— My Champion, my Friend, while I’m weeping my eyes out before God. I appeal to the One who represents mortals before God as a neighbor stands up for a neighbor. “Only a few years are left before I set out on the road of no return.”
Oh, that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleads for his neighbor!
But my witness will plead for a human in front of Eloah. The Son of Man will plead for his friend!
That justice may be done for a mortal with God: as for a man with his neighbor.
That one might plead for a man with God As a son of man with his neighbor!
“O that a man might plead with God As a man with his neighbor!
pleading that he may listen to me as a person would listen to a neighbor.
He begs God on behalf of a human as a person begs for his friend.
and he contends with God on behalf of man as a man pleads for his friend.
He makes his appeal to God to help me as a person pleads for a friend.
on behalf of a man he pleads with God as one pleads for a friend.
on behalf of a man he pleads with God as one pleads for a friend.
Oh, that one might plead for a man with God, As a man pleads for his neighbor!
If only a man could give reasons to God, as a man does for his neighbor!
I need someone to mediate between God and me, as a person mediates between friends.
that he would maintain the right of a mortal with God, as one does for a neighbour.
that he would maintain the right of a mortal with God, as one does for a neighbour.
that he would maintain the right of a mortal with God, as one does for a neighbor.
that he would maintain the right of a mortal with God, as one does for a neighbor.
O that one might plead for a man with Eloah, as a man pleadeth for his neighbor!
that he would maintain the right of a man with God, like that of a man with his neighbor.
that he would maintain the right of a man with God, like that of a man with his neighbor.
he contends with God on behalf of man as one pleads for a friend.
Appealing to God as a mere man, as a human being might for the sake of his friend.
that he would maintain the right of a man with God, of a son of man with his neighbor!
And I would, that a man were deemed so with God, as the son of man is deemed with his fellow. (And I wish, that there was someone to plead with God for me, like the son of a man who pleadeth for his fellow, or for his friend.)
And he reasoneth for a man with God, And a son of man for his friend.
