And though they say, ‘The Lord liveth,’ surely they swear falsely.”
And though they say, As Jehovah liveth; surely they swear falsely.
“And though they say, ‘As the Lord lives,’ Surely they swear [their oaths] falsely.”
And though they say, As the Lord lives, surely they swear falsely.
And though they say, The Lord liveth; surely they swear falsely.
When they say, “As the Lord lives,” they are swearing falsely.
When they say, ‘As the Lord lives,’ they are swearing falsely.
Even when making a pledge—“As the Lord lives”— they swear falsely.
And though they say, ‘As Adonai lives,’ the fact is that they are swearing falsely.”
Everyone breaks promises made in my name.”
And if they say, [As] Jehovah liveth! surely they swear falsely.
And though they say: The Lord liveth; this also they will swear falsely.
The people make promises and say, ‘As the Lord lives.’ But they don’t really mean it!”
They make promises and they say, “I will do it, as surely as the Lord lives.” But what they say is all lies.’
Though they say, “As surely as the Lord lives,” they are still swearing falsely.
Though they say, “As the Lord lives,” yet they swear falsely.
Though they say, “As the Lord lives”, yet they swear falsely.
Although the people say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives!’ they ·don’t really mean it [L swear/take an oath falsely].”
For though they say, The Lord liveth, yet do they swear falsely.
People say, “As the Lord lives …” Yet, they lie when they take this oath.
Even though you claim to worship the Lord, you do not mean what you say.
When they say, “As the Lord lives,” they are swearing falsely.
The people say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives!’ But they don’t really mean it.”
Although they say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’ still they are swearing falsely.”
And if they should say, The LORD lives; surely they swear falsely.
And though they say, The Lord liveth; surely they swear falsely.
And though they say, The Lord liveth; surely they swear falsely.
And if they say, ‘As Yahweh lives,’ Then they swear to a lie.”
And though they say, ‘As Yahweh lives,’ therefore they swear falsely.”
Even under oath, they all lie.
“Patrol Jerusalem’s streets. Look around. Take note. Search the market squares. See if you can find one man, one woman, A single soul who does what is right and tries to live a true life. I want to forgive that person.” God’s Decree. “But if all they do is say, ‘As sure as God lives . . . ’ they’re nothing but a bunch of liars.”
Though they say, “The Lord lives,” surely they swear falsely.
People say, “As Yahweh lives . . .” Yet, they lie when they take this oath.
They say, “As the Lord lives,” but in fact they swear falsely.
And although they say, ‘As the Lord lives,’ Certainly they swear falsely.”
“And although they say, ‘As the Lord lives,’ Surely they swear falsely.”
Even though they say, “As the Lord lives,” they are in fact swearing falsely.
Although the people say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives!’ they don’t really mean it.”
These people make promises in the name of the Lord. But the fact is, what they swear to is really a lie.”
They make their promises in my name. They say, ‘You can be sure that the Lord is alive.’ But their promises can’t be trusted.”
Although they say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’ still they are swearing falsely.”
Although they say, “As surely as the Lord lives,” still they are swearing falsely.’
Though they say, ‘As the Lord lives,’ Surely they swear falsely.”
Even if they say, ‘As the Lord lives,’ for sure their promises are false.”
But even when they are under oath, saying, ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’ they are still telling lies!”
Although they say, ‘As the Lord lives’, yet they swear falsely.
Although they say, ‘As the Lord lives’, yet they swear falsely.
Although they say, “As the Lord lives,” yet they swear falsely.
Although they say, “As the Lord lives,” yet they swear falsely.
And though they say, Chai Hashem; surely they swear lasheker (falsely).
“For though they say, ‘The LORD lives,’ they still swear falsely.”
Though they say, “As the Lord lives,” yet they swear falsely.
Though they say, “As the Lord lives,” yet they swear falsely.
Though they say, “As Adonai lives!” surely they swear falsely.
I hear them making oaths in My name. “As the Eternal lives,” they say. But they know the oaths are not true.
Though they say, ‘As Yahweh lives,’ surely they swear falsely.”
That if also they say, The Lord liveth, yea, they shall swear this falsely. (But even if they say, As the Lord liveth, yea, they shall swear this falsely.)
And if they say, `Jehovah liveth,' Surely to a falsehood they swear.
