James 2:24
Print
Ye see then how by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Ye see that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith.
You see that a man (believer) is justified by works and not by faith alone [that is, by acts of obedience a born-again believer reveals his faith].
You see that a man is justified (pronounced righteous before God) through what he does and not alone through faith [through works of obedience as well as by what he believes].
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
So you see that a person is shown to be righteous through faithful actions and not through faith alone.
You see that a person is declared righteous because of actions and not because of faith alone.
You can now see that we please God by what we do and not only by what we believe.
Ye see that a man is justified on the principle of works, and not on the principle of faith only.
Do you all see that a person is declared-righteous by works, and not by faith alone?
Do you see that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?
So you see that people are made right with God by what they do. They cannot be made right by faith alone.
So you see how God accepts someone as right with himself. That person must not only believe in God. He must also do good things to show that he has faith.
You see that a person is shown to be righteous by works and not by faith alone.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
So you see that people are ·made right with God [justified] by ·what they do [their works], not by faith only.
Ye see then how that of works a man is justified, and not of faith only.
You see that a person receives God’s approval because of what he does, not only because of what he believes.
You see, then, that it is by our actions that we are put right with God, and not by our faith alone.
You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
So you see that a person is made right with God by the things he does. He cannot be made right by faith only.
You observe that a person is justified through actions and not through faith alone.
A man is justified before God by what he does as well as by what he believes. Rahab who was a prostitute and a foreigner has been quoted as an example of faith, yet surely it was her action that pleased God, when she welcomed Joshua’s reconnoitring party and got them safely back by a different route.
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith.
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
So you see, a man is saved by what he does, as well as by what he believes.
Wasn’t our ancestor Abraham “made right with God by works” when he placed his son Isaac on the sacrificial altar? Isn’t it obvious that faith and works are yoked partners, that faith expresses itself in works? That the works are “works of faith”? The full meaning of “believe” in the Scripture sentence, “Abraham believed God and was set right with God,” includes his action. It’s that weave of believing and acting that got Abraham named “God’s friend.” Is it not evident that a person is made right with God not by a barren faith but by faith fruitful in works?
You see then how by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You see that a person receives God’s approval because of what he does, not only because of what he believes.
See how a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You can see, then, that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
So you see that people are made right with God by what they do, not by faith only.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
So you see that a person is considered right with God by what they do. It doesn’t happen only because they believe.
You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
A man becomes right with God by what he does and not by faith only.
So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.
You see then how by deeds a man is justified, and not by faith only.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
So you see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You see that from Ma’asim [of Emunah] a man is YITZDAK IM HASHEM and not from [sterilely unpartnered] “Emunah” alone. [i.e., mere intellectual assent]
You see then how a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
You see that a man is proved righteous by works and not by faith alone.
Just like our father in the faith, we are made right with God through good works, not simply by what we believe or think.
You see then that by works, a man is justified, and not only by faith.
You see, a man is a good man because of the things he does, and not just because he believes.
Ye see that a man is justified of works, and not of faith only.
Ye see, then, that out of works is man declared righteous, and not out of faith only;
