Isaiah 9:10

“The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones; the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.”
The bricks are fallen, but we will build with hewn stone; the sycomores are cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.
“The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild [all the better] with ashlar (hewed stones); The sycamores have been cut down, But we will replace them with [expensive] cedars.”
The bricks have fallen, but we will build [all the better] with hewn stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put [costlier] cedars in their place.
The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
“The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with cut stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.”
“Bricks have fallen, but let’s rebuild with stones. Sycamores were cut down, but let’s replace them with cedars.”
So Adonai has raised up Retzin’s foes against him and spurred on his enemies —
“Houses of brick and sycamore have fallen to the ground, but we will build houses with stones and cedar.”
The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones; the sycamore trees are cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.
The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with square stones: they have cut down the sycamores, but we will change them for cedars.
“Yes, those bricks fell, but we will rebuild with strong stone. Yes, those little trees were chopped down, but we will plant new trees. And they will be large, strong trees.”
‘We built houses with bricks and they fell down. But we will build them again with strong stones. People have cut down our fig trees, but we will plant great cedar trees instead.’
“The mud bricks have fallen down, but we will build with cut stone. The sycamore fig trees have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.”
“The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.”
“The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.”
“These bricks have fallen, but we will build again with ·cut [hewn; dressed] stones. These ·small trees [L fig trees; or sycamores] have been chopped down, but we will put great cedars there.”
The bricks are fallen, but we will build it with hewn stones: the wild fig trees are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
“Bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with hand-cut stones. Fig trees have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.”
“The brick buildings have fallen down, but we will replace them with stone buildings. The beams of sycamore wood have been cut down, but we will replace them with the finest cedar.”
“The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with cut stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.”
“These bricks have fallen, but we will build again with cut stones. These small trees have been chopped down. But we will put great cedars there.”
‘The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamore trees have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.’
The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones; the wild fig trees are cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.
The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
“The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with cut stones; The sycamores have been cut in pieces, But we will replace them with cedars.”
The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stone. The sycamore-fig trees were felled, but we will replace them with cedars.”
The Lord has spoken out against that braggart Israel who says that though our land lies in ruins now, we will rebuild it better than before. The sycamore trees are cut down, but we will replace them with cedars!
The Master sent a message against Jacob. It landed right on Israel’s doorstep. All the people soon heard the message, Ephraim and the citizens of Samaria. But they were a proud and arrogant bunch. They dismissed the message, saying, “Things aren’t that bad. We can handle anything that comes. If our buildings are knocked down, we’ll rebuild them bigger and finer. If our forests are cut down, we’ll replant them with finer trees.”
“The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones; the sycamores are cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.”
“Bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with hand-cut stones. Fig trees have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.”
So the Lord raises up their foes against them and stirs up their enemies to action—
“The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with smooth stones; The sycamores have been cut down, But we will replace them with cedars.”
“The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with smooth stones; The sycamores have been cut down, But we will replace them with cedars.”
In response the Lord raised up foes against them and spurred on their enemies,
“These bricks have fallen, but we will build again with cut stones. These small trees have been chopped down, but we will put great cedars there.”
“The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with chiseled stone; the sycamore fig trees have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.”
“The brick buildings have fallen down. But we will rebuild them with blocks of stone. The fig trees have been chopped down. But we’ll plant cedar trees in place of them.”
“The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars.”
‘The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig-trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars.’
“The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with hewn stones; The sycamores are cut down, But we will replace them with cedars.”
“The clay blocks have fallen down, but we will build again with smooth stones. The sycamore trees have been cut down, but we will put cedar trees in their place.”
They said, “We will replace the broken bricks of our ruins with finished stone, and replant the felled sycamore-fig trees with cedars.”
‘The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycomores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.’
‘The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycomores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.’
“The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.”
“The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.”
The levenim (bricks) are fallen down, but we will rebuild with cut stones; the sycamores are cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.
“The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.”
“The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.”
Therefore Adonai raises up Rezin’s adversaries against them, and spurs on his enemies.
Hey! The walls have collapsed, but this gives us a chance to rebuild better than it was before with the best stones instead of brick. The invaders may have chopped down the sycamores, but we will plant cedars in their place.”
“The bricks have fallen, but we will build with cut stone. The sycamore fig trees have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.”
Tilestones fell down (The bricks fell down), but we shall build with square stones; they have cut down (the) sycamores, but we shall (ex)change (them for) cedars.
`Bricks have fallen, and hewn work we build, Sycamores have been cut down, and cedars we renew.'
