Isaiah 51:12

“I, even I, am He that comforteth you. Who art thou that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man who shall be made as grass,
I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou art afraid of man that shall die, and of the son of man that shall be made as grass;
“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of man who dies And of a son of man who is made [as destructible] as grass,
I, even I, am He Who comforts you. Who are you, that you should be afraid of man, who shall die, and of a son of man, who shall be made [as destructible] as grass,
I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;
I—I am the one who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear humans who die, or a son of man who is given up like grass?
I, I am the one who comforts you. Why should you fear humans who will die, mortals who are treated like grass?
“I, yes I, am the one who comforts you! Why are you afraid of a man, who must die; of a human being, who will wither like grass?
I am the Lord, the one who encourages you. Why are you afraid of mere humans? They dry up and die like grass.
I, [even] I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou fearest a man that shall die, and the son of man that shall become as grass;
I, I myself will comfort you: who art thou, that thou shouldst be afraid of a mortal man, and of the son of man, who shall wither away like grass?
The Lord says, “I am the one who comforts you. So why should you be afraid of people? They are only humans who live and die like the grass.
‘I am the Lord who comforts you. You do not need to be afraid of people who are only human. Remember that they will all die one day, like grass that only lives for a short time.
I, even I, am the one who comforts you. Who are you, Zion, that you fear humans, who die, or a child of Adam, who passes away like grass?
“I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass,
“I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass,
The Lord says, “·I [L I, even I] am the one who ·comforts you [40:1]. So why should you be afraid of people, who die? ·Why should you fear people [L …or the son of man; C human beings] who ·die [L is given up] like the grass [40:6]?
I, even I am he that comfort you. Who art thou that thou shouldest fear a mortal man, and the son of man, which shall be made as grass?
I alone am the one who comforts you. Why, then, are you afraid of mortals, who must die, of humans, who are like grass?
The Lord says, “I am the one who strengthens you. Why should you fear mortals, who are no more enduring than grass?
I—I am the One who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear man who dies, or a son of man who is given up like grass?
The Lord says, “I am the one who comforts you. So why should you be afraid of people, who die? Why should you fear people who die like the grass?
“I—yes, I—am the one who comforts you. Who are you, that you are so afraid of humans who will die, descendants of mere men, who have been made like grass?
I, even I, am he that comforts you. Who art thou that thou should be afraid of man that is mortal and of the son of man which shall be counted as stubble?
I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;
I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;
“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of man who dies And of the son of man who is made like grass,
“I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man? He dies! And of the son of humankind? He is sacrificed as grass!
I, even I, am he who comforts you and gives you all this joy. So what right have you to fear mere mortal men, who wither like the grass and disappear?
“I, I’m the One comforting you. What are you afraid of—or who? Some man or woman who’ll soon be dead? Some poor wretch destined for dust? You’ve forgotten me, God, who made you, who unfurled the skies, who founded the earth. And here you are, quaking like an aspen before the tantrums of a tyrant who thinks he can kick down the world. But what will come of the tantrums? The victims will be released before you know it. They’re not going to die. They’re not even going to go hungry. For I am God, your very own God, who stirs up the sea and whips up the waves, named God-of-the-Angel-Armies. I teach you how to talk, word by word, and personally watch over you, Even while I’m unfurling the skies, setting earth on solid foundations, and greeting Zion: ‘Welcome, my people!’”
I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who shall die, and of the son of man who shall be made as grass,
I alone am the one who comforts you. Why, then, are you afraid of mortals, who must die, of humans, who are like grass?
I, it is I who comfort you. Can you then fear mortals who die, human beings who are just grass,
“I, I Myself, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of mortal man, And of a son of man who is made like grass,
“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of man who dies And of the son of man who is made like grass,
I, I alone, am the one who comforts you. Why then do you fear mortal men who must die, human beings who must perish like grass?
The Lord says, “I am the one who comforts you. So why should you be afraid of people, who die? Why should you fear people who die like the grass?
“I, I am the one who consoles you. Why are you afraid of mortal men, of mere human beings who are as short-lived as grass?
The Lord says to his people, “I comfort you because of who I am. Why are you afraid of mere human beings? They are like grass that dries up.
“I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass,
‘I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass,
“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, And of the son of a man who will be made like grass?
“I, even I, am He Who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of a man who dies? Why are you afraid of the sons of men who are made like grass,
“I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear?
I, I am he who comforts you; why then are you afraid of a mere mortal who must die, a human being who fades like grass?
I, I am he who comforts you; why then are you afraid of a mere mortal who must die, a human being who fades like grass?
I, I am he who comforts you; why then are you afraid of a mere mortal who must die, a human being who fades like grass?
I, I am he who comforts you; why then are you afraid of a mere mortal who must die, a human being who fades like grass?
I, even I, am He that comforteth you. Who art thou, that thou shouldest fear enosh that shall die, and ben adam which shall be made as khatzir (grass);
“I, I am he that comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass,
“I, I am he that comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass,
“I, I am the One who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear man, who dies, or a son of man, who is given up like grass?”
Eternal One: I am the One who comforts you and gives you peace. So why are you afraid of human beings? The children of men are only grass; they’ll wither and die.
“I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?
I, I myself, that is, I am he, I am he, that shall comfort you; who art thou, that thou dreadest of a deadly man, and of the son of man, that shall wax dry so as hay? (I, I myself, shall comfort you; so why then fearest thou any mortal, yea, the son of a man, who shall grow as dry as grass, or like straw?)
I -- I [am] He -- your comforter, Who [art] thou -- and thou art afraid of man? he dieth! And of the son of man -- grass he is made!
