The Lord of Armies announces this in my hearing: I swear that many houses will be deserted. Even the large and beautiful houses will be unoccupied.

I overheard God-of-the-Angel-Armies say: “Those mighty houses will end up empty. Those extravagant estates will be deserted. A ten-acre vineyard will produce a pint of wine, a fifty-pound sack of seed, a quart of grain.”

I was there when the Eternal, the Commander of heavenly armies, told us what to expect. Eternal One: Make no mistake about it: many houses will be abandoned. Grand, beautiful houses with all the luxury will echo empty.

These things be in the ears of me, (yea,) the Lord of hosts (hath said); If many houses be not forsaken, great and fair, without dweller (If many houses be not abandoned, yea, large and beautiful, but with no inhabitants), believe ye not to me.
By the weapons of Jehovah of Hosts Do not many houses a desolation become? Great and good without inhabitant!
