For I beheld, and there was no man, even among them; and there was no counselor that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.
And when I look, there is no man: even among them there is no counsellor, that, when I ask of them, can answer a word.
“But when I look [on the pagan prophets and priests], there is no one [who could predict these events], And there is no counselor among them, Who, if I ask, can give an answer.
For I look [upon the heathen prophets and the priests of pagan practices] and there is no man among them [who could predict these events], and among these [idols] there is no counselor who, when I ask of him, can answer a word.
For I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.
When I look, there is no one; there is no counselor among them; when I ask them, they have nothing to say.
When I look, there is no one; there is no counsellor among them; when I ask them, they have nothing to say.
But I look, and there’s no one among them, no counselor; and when I ask, no one can answer.
But when I look around, there is no one — not a single one can give counsel, who, when I ask, can give an answer.
None of these idols are able to give advice or answer questions.
And I beheld, and there was no man; even among them,—and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.
And I saw, and there was no one even among them to consult, or who, when I asked, could answer a word.
I looked at those false gods. Not one of them said anything. They had no advice to offer. I asked them questions, but they didn’t say a word.
I looked among your idols, to see who might be a good advisor. But none of them could help. None of them could answer my questions.
When I looked, there was no one. None of them could give advice, even when I kept asking them to respond.
But when I look, there is no one; among these there is no counselor who, when I ask, gives an answer.
But when I look, there is no one; among these there is no counsellor who, when I ask, gives an answer.
I ·look at the idols [L look], but there is ·not one that can answer [L no one/man]. None of them can give ·advice [counsel]; none of them can answer my questions.
But when I beheld, there was none: and when I inquired of them, there was no counselor, and when I demanded of them, they answered not a word.
When I look, there is no one. There is no one to advise them. When I ask them a question, will they give an answer?
When I looked among the gods, none of them had a thing to say; not one could answer the questions I asked.
When I look, there is no one; there is no counselor among them; when I ask them, they have nothing to say.

Not one of your idols told you this. Not one gave any answer when I asked.
“I, God, started someone out from the north and he’s come. He was called out of the east by name. He’ll stomp the rulers into the mud the way a potter works the clay. Let me ask you, Did anyone guess that this might happen? Did anyone tell us earlier so we might confirm it with ‘Yes, he’s right!’? No one mentioned it, no one announced it, no one heard a peep out of you. But I told Zion all about this beforehand. I gave Jerusalem a preacher of good news. But around here there’s no one— no one who knows what’s going on. I ask, but no one can tell me the score. Nothing here. It’s all smoke and hot air— sham gods, hollow gods, no-gods.”
But when I look, there is no man, even among them, and there is no counselor who, when I ask of them, could answer a word.
When I look, there is no one. There is no one to advise them. When I ask them a question, will they give an answer?
When I look, there is not one, not one of them to give counsel, to make an answer when I question them.
But when I look, there is no one, And there is no counselor among them Who, if I ask, can give an answer.
“But when I look, there is no one, And there is no counselor among them Who, if I ask, can give an answer.
But when I look around, I see no one; there is not a single one of them to offer counsel or to give an answer when I question them.
I look at the idols, but there is not one that can answer. None of them can give advice; none of them can answer my questions.
I look, but there is no one, among them there is no one who serves as an adviser, that I might ask questions and receive answers.
I look, but there is no one among the gods that can give me advice. None of them can answer when I ask them the simplest question.

But I am looking, and there isn’t anyone. I have asked around, and no one knows, no one can tell Me.
When I look, there is no man, even among them there is no counselor who, when I ask, can answer a word.
And I saw, and none was of these, that took counsel, and he that was asked, answered (not) a word. (And I saw, and there was no one who gave any advice, and he who was asked, answered not a word.)
And I see that there is no man, Yea, of these that there is no counsellor, And I ask them, and they return word:
