The people themselves will look for caves and holes in the rocks where they can hide. They will try to escape from the Lord's punishment. They will see that he rules with great authority. They will be afraid when he comes to judge the people on earth.
They will go into the clefts in the rocks and into the crevices in the cliffs, to hide from the terror of the Lord and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to make the earth tremble.
