Be ashamed, Sidon, the stronghold of the sea, for the sea has spoken: “I have not been in labor or given birth. I have not raised young men or brought up young women.”

Shame, Tzidon, for the sea speaks; the fortress of the sea says, “I no longer have labor pains or bear children, yet I have raised neither boys nor girls.”
Sidon, you are a mighty fortress built along the sea. But you will be disgraced like a married woman who never had children.
Be thou ashamed, Sidon, for the sea hath spoken, the strength of the sea, saying, I have not travailed nor brought forth, neither have I nourished young men [nor] brought up virgins.
Be thou ashamed, O Sidon: for the sea speaketh, even the strength of the sea, saying: I have not been in labour, nor have I brought forth, nor have I nourished up young men, nor brought up virgins.
Sidon, you should be very sad, because now the Sea and the Fort of the Sea say, “I have no children. I have never felt the pain of birth; I have never given birth to children. I have never raised young men and women.”
Be ashamed, you people in Sidon. You have become strong because of the sea. But the sea now speaks against you! It says, ‘I have not given birth to any children. I have not taken care of any sons or daughters as a parent should do.’
Be ashamed, Sidon, fortress by the sea, because the sea has spoken, saying, “No longer do I feel the pain of childbirth. No longer do I have children. I have no young men to raise, no virgin girls to bring up.”
Be ashamed, O Sidon, for the sea has spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying: “I have neither labored nor given birth, I have neither reared young men nor brought up young women.”
Be ashamed, O Sidon, for the sea has spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying: “I have neither laboured nor given birth, I have neither reared young men nor brought up young women.”
Sidon, be ashamed. ·Strong city [Fortress] of the sea, be ashamed, because the sea says: “I have not ·felt the pain of giving birth [gone into labor or given birth]; I have not reared young men or women.”

City of Sidon, you are disgraced! The sea and the great ocean depths disown you and say, “I never had any children. I never raised sons or daughters.”
Be ashamed Sidon, the stronghold of the sea, for the sea has spoken: “I have not been in labor or given birth. I have not raised young men or brought up young women.”
Sidon, be ashamed. Strong city of the sea, be ashamed. The sea says: “I have not felt the pain of giving birth. I have not reared young men or women.”

Be ashamed, O Sidon, stronghold of the sea. For you are childless now!
Wail, ships of Tarshish, your strong seaports all in ruins! When the ships returned from Cyprus, they saw the destruction. Hold your tongue, you who live on the seacoast, merchants of Sidon. Your people sailed the deep seas, buying and selling, Making money on wheat from Shihor, grown along the Nile— multinational broker in grains! Hang your head in shame, Sidon. The Sea speaks up, the powerhouse of the ocean says, “I’ve never had labor pains, never had a baby, never reared children to adulthood, Never gave life, never worked with life. It was all numbers, dead numbers, profit and loss.”
Be ashamed, O Sidon; for the sea has spoken, even the stronghold of the sea, saying, “I have not travailed nor brought forth children; neither have I brought up young men nor raised virgins.”

Sidon, be ashamed. Mighty Tyre out in the sea, be ashamed. The sea has spoken. It has said, “It’s as if I had never felt labor pains or had children. It’s as if I had never brought up sons or daughters. It’s as if the city of Tyre had never existed.”

Thou, Sidon, be ashamed, said the sea, the strength of the sea, and said, I travailed not of child, and I childed not, and I nourished not young men, and I brought not fully virgins to increasing. (O Sidon, be ashamed; for the sea, yea, the strength of the sea, hath said, I have not laboured with child, and I did not give birth, and I did not nourish young men, and I did not bring up virgins into womanhood.)
Be ashamed, O Zidon; for the sea spake, The strength of the sea, saying: `I have not been pained, nor have I brought forth, Nor have I nourished young men, [nor] brought up virgins.'
