Sion shall be redeemed in judgment, and they shall bring her back in justice.
God is good and does what is right, so he will rescue Zion and the people who come back to him.
God will use justice to make Zion free. He will do what is right for those who return to serve him.

Zion shall be redeemed by justice, and those in her who repent, by righteousness.

By ·doing what is fair [justice], ·Jerusalem [L Zion; C the location of the Temple] will be ·free again [redeemed; restored]. By ·doing what is right [righteousness], her ·people who come back to the Lord [penitent/repentant ones; or returnees] will have freedom.
Zion shall be redeemed in judgment, and they that return in her, in justice.
Zion will be pardoned by ⌞the Lord’s⌟ justice, and those who return will be pardoned by ⌞the Lord’s⌟ righteousness.
Because the Lord is righteous, he will save Jerusalem and everyone there who repents.
Zion will be redeemed by justice, her repentant ones by righteousness.
Because the Lord does what is fair, he will rescue Jerusalem. Because the Lord does what is right, he will save her people who come back to him.
“Zion will be redeemed by justice, and her repentant ones by righteousness.
Zion shall be ransomed with judgment and her converts with righteousness.
Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

Those who return to the Lord, who are just and good, shall be redeemed.
This Decree, therefore, of the Master, God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the Strong One of Israel: “This is it! I’ll get my oppressors off my back. I’ll get back at my enemies. I’ll give you the back of my hand, purge the junk from your life, clean you up. I’ll set honest judges and wise counselors among you just like it was back in the beginning. Then you’ll be renamed City-That-Treats-People-Right, the True-Blue City.” God’s right ways will put Zion right again. God’s right actions will restore her prodigals. But it’s curtains for rebels and God-traitors, a dead end for those who walk out on God. “Your dalliances in those oak grove shrines will leave you looking mighty foolish, All that fooling around in god and goddess gardens that you thought was the latest thing. You’ll end up like an oak tree with all its leaves falling off, Like an unwatered garden, withered and brown. ‘The Strong Man’ will turn out to be dead bark and twigs, and his ‘work,’ the spark that starts the fire That exposes man and work both as nothing but cinders and smoke.”

Zion will be saved by being fair. Those who are sorry for their sins and turn from them will be saved by being right and good.
Zion will be restored by justice; those who repent will be revived by righteousness.

In that way, this place Zion will pass the test: the city restored by justice, her citizens delivered by repentance.

Zion shall be again-bought in doom, and they shall bring it again into rightfulness; (Zion shall be redeemed in justice, and they shall bring it back to righteousness;)
Zion in judgment is redeemed, And her captivity in righteousness.
