The Lord says, ‘Ephraim's people are always speaking lies to me. Yes, Israel's descendants try to deceive me. But Judah's people have stayed with God as their guide. They continue to be faithful to the Holy God.’

Not a word of Israel can be trusted. Judah, meanwhile, is no better, addicted to cheap gods. * * *
