“They shall walk after the Lord; He shall roar like a lion. When He shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
They shall walk after Jehovah, who will roar like a lion; for he will roar, and the children shall come trembling from the west.

I will roar loudly like a lion, so that my children come to follow me. When I roar, my children will shake with fear, as they come from the west.

I will call for my people like a lion calling for its young. My children will come and follow me. They will hurry to me from the west.
They will go after the Lord, who will roar like a lion; and when he roars, the children will come trembling from the west.

Like frightened birds they’ll come from Egypt, from Assyria like scared doves. I’ll move them back into their homes.” God’s Word! Ephraim tells lies right and left. Not a word of Israel can be trusted. Judah, meanwhile, is no better, addicted to cheap gods. * * *

For someday the people will follow me. I, the Lord, will roar like a lion. And when I roar, my people will return trembling from the west.
