Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils.
Now consider how great this man was, unto whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the chief spoils.
Now pause and consider how great this man was to whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth of the spoils.
Now observe and consider how great [a personage] this was to whom even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth [the topmost or the pick of the heap] of the spoils.
Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
Now consider how great this man was: even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the plunder to him.
Now consider how great this man was: even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the plunder to him.
See how great Melchizedek was! Abraham, the father of the people, gave him a tenth of everything he captured.
Just think how great he was! Even the Patriarch Avraham gave him a tenth of the choicest spoils.
Notice how great Melchizedek was! Our famous ancestor Abraham gave him a tenth of what he had taken from his enemies.
Now consider how great this [personage] was, to whom [even] the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth out of the spoils.
Now observe how great this one is to whom indeed Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth from the choicest-spoils:
Now consider how great this man is, to whom also Abraham the patriarch gave tithes out of the principal things.
You can see that Melchizedek was very great. Abraham, our great ancestor, gave him a tenth of everything he won in battle.
So think about how great this man, Melchizedek, was! Even Abraham, the ancestor of all Israel's people, gave gifts to Melchizedek. Abraham gave him a tenth part of everything that he had won in the fight.
Consider how great this man was. Even Abraham, the patriarch, gave him a tenth from the best of the spoils.
See how great this man was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the spoils!
See how great this man was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the spoils!
You can see how great Melchizedek was. Abraham, the ·great father [patriarch], gave him a tenth of ·everything that he won in battle [the spoils/booty/plunder].
Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the Patriarch Abraham gave the tithe of the spoils.
You can see how important Melchizedek was. Abraham gave him a tenth of what he had captured, even though Abraham was the father of the chosen people.
You see, then, how great he was. Abraham, our famous ancestor, gave him one tenth of all he got in the battle.
Now consider how great this man was—even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the plunder to him!
You can see that Melchizedek was very great. Abraham, the great father, gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything that Abraham won in battle.
Just look at how great this man was! Even Abraham—the patriarch himself—gave him a tenth of what he had captured!
Now notice the greatness of this man. Even Abraham the patriarch pays him a tribute of a tenth part of the spoils. Further, we know that, according to the Law, the descendants of Levi who accept the office of priest have the right to demand a “tenth” from the people, that is from their brothers, despite the fact that the latter are descendants of Abraham. But here we have one who is quite independent of Levitic ancestry taking a “tenth” from Abraham, and giving a blessing to Abraham, the holder of God’s promises! And no one can deny that the receiver of a blessing is inferior to the one who gives it. Again, in the one case it is mortal men who receive the “tenths”, and in the other is one who, we are assured, is alive. One might say that even Levi, the proper receiver of “tenths”, has paid his tenth to this man, for in a sense he already existed in the body of his father Abraham when Melchizedek met him.
Now consider how great this one was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

See then how great this Melchizedek is: (a) Even Abraham, the first and most honored of all God’s chosen people, gave Melchizedek a tenth of the spoils he took from the kings he had been fighting.
You realize just how great Melchizedek is when you see that Father Abraham gave him a tenth of the captured treasure. Priests descended from Levi are commanded by law to collect tithes from the people, even though they are all more or less equals, priests and people, having a common father in Abraham. But this man, a complete outsider, collected tithes from Abraham and blessed him, the one to whom the promises had been given. In acts of blessing, the lesser is blessed by the greater.
Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils.
But see how great this man was to whom · the patriarch Abraham gave a tithe of the finest plunder.
You can see how important Melchizedek was. Abraham gave him a tenth of what he had captured, even though Abraham was the father of the chosen people.
See how great he is to whom the patriarch “Abraham [indeed] gave a tenth” of his spoils.
Now observe how great this man was to whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth of the choicest spoils.

Just consider now how great this man must have been for the patriarch Abraham to give him a tenth of his spoils.
You can see how great Melchizedek was. Abraham, the great father, gave him a tenth of everything that he won in battle.
But see how great he must be, if Abraham the patriarch gave him a tithe of his plunder.
Think how great Melchizedek was! Even our father Abraham gave him a tenth of what he had captured.
Just think how great he was: Even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder!

Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils.
We can see how great Melchizedek was. Abraham gave him one-tenth part of all he had taken in the war.
Consider then how great this Melchizedek was. Even Abraham, the great patriarch of Israel, recognized this by giving him a tenth of what he had taken in battle.
Consider what a man this was, to whom the patriarch Abraham gave tithes of the spoils.
See how great he is! Even Abraham the patriarch gave him a tenth of the spoils.
See how great he is! Even Abraham the patriarch gave him a tenth of the spoils.
See how great he is! Even Abraham the patriarch gave him a tenth of the spoils.
See how great he is! Even Abraham the patriarch gave him a tenth of the spoils.
Look and see what an exalted status he has. Abraham the patriarch gave him a tenth of the spoils!
Now consider how great among the Gedolim this one was to whom also Avraham Avinu gave from his booty a ma’aser (tithe).
Now consider how great this man was to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tithe of the spoils.
See how great he is! Abraham the patriarch gave him a tithe of the spoils.
See how great he is! Abraham the patriarch gave him a tithe of the spoils.
Now see how great this man is! Even Abraham the patriarch gave him a tenth out of the plunder.
And just imagine how great this man was, that even our great and honorable patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the spoils.
Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth out of the best plunder.
Just think how great he was! Even Abraham, the father of our people, gave him a tenth, one part out of ten, of all he brought back.
But behold ye how great is this [man] [Forsooth behold ye how great this is], to whom Abraham the patriarch gave tithes of the best things.
And see how great this one [is], to whom also a tenth Abraham the patriarch did give out of the best of the spoils,
