And no man taketh this honor unto himself, except he that is called by God, as was Aaron.

But no one can have the honor of being a high priest simply by wanting to be one. Only God can choose a priest, and God is the one who chose Aaron.

Neither doth any man take the honour to himself, but he that is called by God, as Aaron was.
To be a high priest is an honor. But no one chooses himself for this work. That person must be chosen by God just as Aaron was.
Nobody decides for himself to become a leader of the priests. God himself must choose him. That is how Aaron became a priest.
No one takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just as Aaron was.
And no one takes this honor for himself, but only when called by God, just as Aaron was.
And no one takes this honour for himself, but only when called by God, just as Aaron was.
To be a high priest is an honor, but no one ·chooses himself for this work [takes this office by his own authority; L takes this honor for himself]. He must be ·called [chosen] by God as Aaron was [C Moses’ brother and Israel’s first high priest; Ex. 28:1].

No one chooses for himself the honor of being a high priest. It is only by God's call that a man is made a high priest—just as Aaron was.

Note also that nobody chooses for himself the honour of being a High Priest, but he is called by God to the work, as was Aaron, the first High Priest in ancient times.

Another thing to remember is that no one can be a high priest just because he wants to be. He has to be called by God for this work in the same way God chose Aaron.
No one elects himself to this honored position. He’s called to it by God, as Aaron was. Neither did Christ presume to set himself up as high priest, but was set apart by the One who said to him, “You’re my Son; today I celebrate you!” In another place God declares, “You’re a priest forever in the royal order of Melchizedek.”
No man takes this honor for himself, but he who is called by God receives it, just as Aaron did.
And no one takes this honor on his own accord, but receives it when called by · God, just as Aaron also was.
No one takes this honor for himself. Instead, God calls him as he called Aaron.

Moreover, one does not assume this position of honor on his own initiative, but only when called by God, just as Aaron was.
To be a high priest is an honor, but no one chooses himself for this work. He must be called by God as Aaron was.
And no one assumes this honor on his own initiative, but only when called to it by God, as in fact Aaron was.
And no one can take this honor for himself. Instead, he receives it when he is appointed by God. That is just how it was for Aaron.
And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was.

And no man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called by God, just as Aaron was.
A Jewish religious leader does not choose this honor for himself. God chooses a man for this work. Aaron was chosen this way.
And no one can become a high priest simply because he wants such an honor. He must be called by God for this work, just as Aaron was.

And one does not presume to take this honour, but takes it only when called by God, just as Aaron was.

The office of high priest and the honor that goes along with it isn’t one that someone just takes. One must be set aside, called by God, just as God called Aaron, the brother of Moses.

No one chooses himself to be high priest. But God calls him, just as he called Aaron.
