He put a servant in charge of each herd and said, “Go ahead of me and keep a healthy space between each herd.”
So he spent the night there. Then he selected from what he had with him a gift for his brother Esau:

You yourself said, ‘I will be very good to you, and I will make your descendants like the sands of the sea, which are too numerous to count.’”

Besides, you said, ‘I will make you prosper and I will make your descendants like the sand of the sea, so numerous that you cannot count them.’ ”
