God showed me his secret plan in a revelation, as I mentioned briefly before
and that it was by a revelation that this secret plan was made known to me. I have already written about it briefly,
In fact, this letter tells you a little about how God has shown me his mysterious ways.

God has clearly shown to me his true purpose. That was a secret before, but God has helped me to know it. I have written a few words about this already.

That is, that God by revelation hath showed this mystery unto me (as I wrote above in few words,
You have heard that he let me know this mystery through a revelation. I’ve already written to you about this briefly.
God revealed his secret plan and made it known to me. (I have written briefly about this,

and how this secret was made known to me through a revelation, just as I wrote about briefly in the past.
For you must have heard how God gave me grace to become your minister, and how he allowed me to understand his secret by giving me a direct Revelation. (What I have written briefly of this above will explain to you my knowledge of the mystery of Christ.) This secret was hidden to past generations of mankind, but it has now, by the spirit, been made plain to God’s consecrated messengers and prophets. It is simply this: that the Gentiles, who were previously excluded from God’s agreements, are to be equal heirs with his chosen people, equal members and equal partners in God’s promise given by Christ through the Gospel.

No doubt you already know that God has given me this special work of showing God’s favor to you Gentiles, as I briefly mentioned before in one of my letters. God himself showed me this secret plan of his, that the Gentiles, too, are included in his kindness.
This is why I, Paul, am in jail for Christ, having taken up the cause of you outsiders, so-called. I take it that you’re familiar with the part I was given in God’s plan for including everybody. I got the inside story on this from God himself, as I just wrote you in brief.
