For of this they are willfully ignorant: that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water,
For this they wilfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amidst water, by the word of God;
For they willingly forget [the fact] that the heavens existed long ago by the word of God, and the earth was formed out of water and by water,
For they willfully overlook and forget this [fact], that the heavens [came into] existence long ago by the word of God, and the earth also which was formed out of water and by means of water,
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
They deliberately overlook this: By the word of God the heavens came into being long ago and the earth was brought about from water and through water.

But they fail to notice that, by God’s word, heaven and earth were formed long ago out of water and by means of water.
But, wanting so much to be right about this, they overlook the fact that it was by God’s Word that long ago there were heavens, and there was land which arose out of water and existed between the waters,
They will say this because they want to forget that long ago the heavens and the earth were made at God's command. The earth came out of water and was made from water.
For this is hidden from them through their own wilfulness, that heavens were of old, and an earth, having its subsistence out of water and in water, by the word of God,
For this escapes-notice-of those who are willing— that by the word of God there were heavens from-long-ago, and an earth having existence out of water and by water,
For this they are wilfully ignorant of, that the heavens were before, and the earth out of water, and through water, consisting by the word of God.
But these people don’t want to remember what happened long ago. The skies were there, and God made the earth from water and with water. All this happened by God’s word.
These people choose to forget things that they really know. A long time ago, God spoke his word and he made the sky and the earth. He caused land to come up through water. He made the land to be separate from the water.
You see, what they are intentionally forgetting is that the heavens came into existence long ago by the word of God and that the earth came together out of the water and between the waters.
For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God,
For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God,
But they ·do not want to remember [willfully forget/ignore] what happened long ago. By the word of God heaven ·was made [came to be; Gen. 1:3–20; Ps. 33:6; 148:5; Heb. 11:3], and the earth was made from water [Gen. 1:2; Ps. 24:2] and with water [Gen. 1:6–7, 9; Ps. 33:7; 136:6; Prov. 8:27–29].
For this they willingly know not, that the heavens were of old, and the earth that was of the water, and by the water, by the word of God.
They are deliberately ignoring one fact: Because of God’s word, heaven and earth existed a long time ago. The earth ⌞appeared⌟ out of water and was kept alive by water.
They purposely ignore the fact that long ago God gave a command, and the heavens and earth were created. The earth was formed out of water and by water,
They willfully ignore this: Long ago the heavens and the earth were brought about from water and through water by the word of God.
But they do not want to remember what happened long ago. God spoke and made heaven and earth. He made the earth from water and with water.
But they deliberately ignore the fact that long ago the heavens existed and the earth was formed by God’s word out of water and with water,
They are deliberately shutting their eyes to a fact that they know very well, that there were, by God’s command, heavens in the old days and an earth formed out of the water and surrounded by water. It was by water that the world of those days was deluged and destroyed, but the present heavens and earth are, also by God’s command, being kept and maintained for the fire of the day of judgment and the destruction of wicked men.
Of course, they willingly ignore that the heavens were created of old and the earth standing out of the water and in the water, by the word of God;
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water,

They deliberately forget this fact: that God did destroy the world with a mighty flood long after he had made the heavens by the word of his command and had used the waters to form the earth and surround it.
They conveniently forget that long ago all the galaxies and this very planet were brought into existence out of watery chaos by God’s word. Then God’s word brought the chaos back in a flood that destroyed the world. The current galaxies and earth are fuel for the final fire. God is poised, ready to speak his word again, ready to give the signal for the judgment and destruction of the desecrating skeptics.
For they willingly ignore that, by the word of God the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed standing out of the water and in the water,
For in maintaining this, they overlook the fact that by the word of God heavens existed long ago and an earth was formed out of water and by means of water.
They are deliberately ignoring one fact: Because of God’s word, heaven and earth existed a long time ago. The earth appeared out of water and was kept alive by water.
They deliberately ignore the fact that the heavens existed of old and earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God;
For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water,

These people deliberately ignore the fact that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago, and that the earth stands out of water and in water.
But they do not want to remember what happened long ago. By the word of God heaven was made, and the earth was made from water and with water.
For they deliberately suppress this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago and an earth was formed out of water and by means of water.
Long ago, God’s word brought the heavens into being. His word separated the earth from the waters. And the waters surrounded it. But these people forget things like that on purpose.
But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.
But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.
For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water,
But they want to forget that God spoke and the heavens were made long ago. The earth was made out of water and water was all around it.
They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water.
This they are ignorant of (and that willingly): that the heavens a great while ago were, and the earth that was in the water appeared up out of the water by the word of God –
They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago and an earth was formed out of water and by means of water,
They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago and an earth was formed out of water and by means of water,
They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago and an earth was formed out of water and by means of water,
They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago and an earth was formed out of water and by means of water,
They willingly overlook this one thing, you see: the ancient heavens and earth were formed out of water and through water, by God’s word—
For this is hidden from them (but they want it that way): that the Shomayim existed from long ago and ha’Aretz out of mayim and through mayim BIDVAR Hashem NA’ASU ("By the word of the L-rd were made" TEHILLIM 33:6).
For of this they are willingly ignorant: that the heavens were of old; and the Earth—which was of the water and by the water—by the Word of God;
They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago, and an earth formed out of water and by means of water,
They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago, and an earth formed out of water and by means of water,
For in holding to this idea, it escapes their notice that the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God.
When they make fun of you, it’s as if the scoffers are deliberately forgetting that long ago when God spoke the word, the heavens came into existence and the earth formed from water and by water.
For they willfully forget that there were heavens from of old, and an earth formed out of water and amid water by the word of God,
They do not want to remember that long ago God spoke and made the sky. He made the land come up from the water.
But it is hid from them willing this thing, that heavens were before, and the earth of water was standing by water, by God's word [that heavens were first, and the earth of water and by water being, or standing, together by God's word];
for this is unobserved by them willingly, that the heavens were of old, and the earth out of water and through water standing together by the word of God,
