1 Samuel 2:32
Print
And thou shalt see an enemy in My habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel; and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.
And thou shalt behold the affliction of my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel; and there shall not be an old man in thy house for ever.
You will look at the distress of My house (the tabernacle), in spite of all the good which God will do for Israel, and there will never again be an old man in your house.
And you shall behold the distress of My house, even in all the prosperity which God will give Israel, and there shall not be an old man in your house forever.
And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.
You will see distress in the place of worship, in spite of all that is good in Israel, and no one in your family will ever again reach old age.
You’ll see trouble in my dwelling place, though all will go well for Israel. But there will never be an old person in your family tree.
At a time when Isra’el is prospering, you will see a rival in my Dwelling; and never will anyone in your family live to old age.
Your family will have a lot of trouble. I will be kind to Israel, but everyone in your family will die young.
And thou shalt see an oppressor [in my] habitation, amidst all the good that shall be done to Israel; and there shall not be an old man in thy house for ever.
And thou shalt see thy rival in the temple, in all the prosperity of Israel, and there shall not be an old man in thy house for ever.
Good things will happen to Israel, but you will see bad things happening at home. No one in your family will live to be an old man.
You will see how trouble comes to my home here. Good things will happen to the Israelite people, but there will never be an old man in your family.
You will see the distress of the dwelling place. Even when things are good for Israel, there shall never be an old man in your house.
Then in distress you will look with envious eye on all the prosperity that shall be bestowed on Israel, and there shall not be an old man in your house forever.
Then in distress you will look with envious eye on all the prosperity that shall be bestowed on Israel, and there shall not be an old man in your house for ever.
You will ·see trouble in my house. No matter what good things happen to Israel, [or watch with envy/distress/greedy eyes on all the prosperity I pour out on Israel. But] there will never be an old ·man [person] in your family [22:11–23].
And thou shalt see thine enemy in the habitation of the Lord in all things wherewith God shall bless Israel, and there shall not be an old man in thine house forever.
You will see distress in my dwelling place. In spite of the good that I do for Israel, no one in your family will live to an old age.
You will be troubled and look with envy on all the blessings I will give to the other people of Israel, but no one in your family will ever again live to old age.
You will see distress in the place of worship, in spite of all that is good in Israel, and no one in your family will ever again reach old age.
You will see trouble in my house. Good things will be done to Israel. But there will never be an old man in your family.
Distress will settle down to live in your household, and despite all the good that I do for Israel, there will never be an old man in your family forever, and you will never again have an old man in my house.
And thou shalt see a competitor in my tabernacle in all the things in which I shall do good unto Israel, and there shall not be an old man in thy house for ever.
And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.
And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.
And you will look upon the distress of My habitation, in spite of all the good that I do for Israel; and an old man will not be in your house all the days.
You will look at the distress of my dwelling place, despite all the good caused for Israel, but there will never be an old man in your household forever!
You will envy the prosperity I will give my people, but you and your family will be in distress and need. Not one of them will live out his days.
“Be well warned: It won’t be long before I wipe out both your family and your future family. No one in your family will make it to old age! You’ll see good things that I’m doing in Israel, but you’ll see it and weep, for no one in your family will live to enjoy it. I will leave one person to serve at my Altar, but it will be a hard life, with many tears. Everyone else in your family will die before their time. What happens to your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, will be the proof: Both will die the same day. Then I’ll establish for myself a true priest. He’ll do what I want him to do, be what I want him to be. I’ll make his position secure and he’ll do his work freely in the service of my anointed one. Survivors from your family will come to him begging for handouts, saying, ‘Please, give me some priest work, just enough to put some food on the table.’”
You shall see the distress of My dwelling, despite all the good which will be done for Israel. And there shall not be an elderly man in your house perpetually.
You will see distress in my dwelling place. In spite of the good that I do for Israel, no one in your family will live to an old age.
You shall witness, like a disappointed rival, all the benefits enjoyed by Israel, but no member of your household shall ever grow old.
And you will look at the distress of My dwelling, in spite of all the good that I do for Israel; and there will never be an old man in your house.
You will see the distress of My dwelling, in spite of all the good that I do for Israel; and an old man will not be in your house forever.
You will see the distress of my dwelling in spite of all that I have given Israel. In your house there will never again be an old man.
You will see trouble in my house. No matter what good things happen to Israel, there will never be an old man in your family.
You will see trouble in my dwelling place! Israel will experience blessings, but there will not be an old man in your house for all time.
You will see nothing but trouble in the house where I live. Good things will still happen to Israel. But no one in your family line will ever grow old.
and you will see distress in my dwelling. Although good will be done to Israel, no one in your family line will ever reach old age.
and you will see distress in my dwelling. Although good will be done to Israel, no one in your family line will ever reach old age.
And you will see an enemy in My dwelling place, despite all the good which God does for Israel. And there shall not be an old man in your house forever.
You will see the trouble of My family, even in all the good I do for Israel. And an old man will not be in your family forever.
You will watch with envy as I pour out prosperity on the people of Israel. But no members of your family will ever live out their days.
Then in distress you will look with greedy eye on all the prosperity that shall be bestowed upon Israel; and no one in your family shall ever live to old age.
Then in distress you will look with greedy eye on all the prosperity that shall be bestowed upon Israel; and no one in your family shall ever live to old age.
Then in distress you will look with greedy eye on all the prosperity that shall be bestowed upon Israel; and no one in your family shall ever live to old age.
No one in your family shall ever live to old age.
And thou shalt see Tzar Ma’on [See 1Sm 4:11 and Jer 7:12-14] in spite of all that He will do of tov to Yisroel; and there shall not be a zaken in thine Bais kol hayamim.
Then in distress you will look with envious eye on all the prosperity which shall be bestowed upon Israel; and there shall not be an old man in your house for ever.
Then in distress you will look with envious eye on all the prosperity which shall be bestowed upon Israel; and there shall not be an old man in your house for ever.
Moreover, you will behold the distress of My dwelling, despite all that is good that has been done to Israel. So no one in your household will reach old age, forever.
Then, in agony, you will see all the good things I do for Israel; there will be great distress, and no one in your family will live to old age ever again.
You will see the affliction of my habitation, in all the wealth which I will give Israel. There shall not be an old man in your house forever.
And thou shalt see thine enemy in the temple, in all the prosperities of Israel (amidst all of Israel’s prosperity); and an eld man shall not be in thine house in all days.
and thou hast beheld an adversary [in My] habitation, in all that He doth good with Israel, and there is not an old man in thy house all the days.
