Now after Abiathar, Ahimelech’s son, fled to David, he had accompanied David to Keilah, bringing a priestly vest with him.
When Avyatar the son of Achimelekh fled to David in Ke‘ilah, he had brought a ritual vest with him.
Meanwhile, Saul heard that David was in Keilah. “God has let me catch David,” Saul said. “David is trapped inside a walled town where the gates can be locked.” Saul decided to go there and surround the town, in order to trap David and his men. He sent messengers who told the towns and villages, “Send men to serve in Saul's army!” By this time, Abiathar had joined David in Keilah and had brought along everything he needed to get answers from God.
And it came to pass, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, he came down with an ephod in his hand.
Now at that time, when Abiathar the son of Achimelech fled to David to Ceila, he came down having an ephod with him.
(When Abiathar ran away to David, Abiathar took an ephod with him.)
When Ahimelech's son Abiathar had run away, he had come to David at Keilah. And he had brought the priests' ephod with him.
(When Abiathar son of Ahimelek fled with David to Keilah, he had brought the special vest, which was in his possession.)
When Abiathar the son of Ahimelech had fled to David to Keilah, he had come down with an ephod in his hand.
When Abiathar the son of Ahimelech had fled to David to Keilah, he had come down with an ephod in his hand.
(Now Abiathar son of Ahimelech had brought the ·holy vest [ephod] ·with him [L in his hand] when he came to David at Keilah [C the ephod probably held the Urim and Thummim used to determine God’s will; Ex. 28:30].)
(And when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, he brought an Ephod with him.)
When Ahimelech’s son Abiathar fled to David at Keilah, Abiathar brought a priestly ephod  with him.
When Abiathar son of Ahimelech escaped and joined David in Keilah, he took the ephod with him.

(Now Abiathar son of Ahimelech had brought the holy vest with him. He brought it when he came to David at Keilah.)
Now when Ahimelech’s son Abiathar had fled to David in Keilah, the ephod had come down with him.
And it came to pass when Abiathar, the son of Ahimelech, fled to David to Keilah that the ephod came in his hand.
And it came to pass, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, that he came down with an ephod in his hand.

(Abiathar the priest went to Keilah with David, taking his ephod with him to get answers for David from the Lord.)
David and his men went to Keilah and fought the Philistines. He scattered their cattle, beat them decisively, and saved the people of Keilah. After Abiathar took refuge with David, he joined David in the raid on Keilah, bringing the Ephod with him.
When Abiathar the son of Ahimelek fled to David at Keilah, he came down with the ephod in his hand.
When Ahimelech’s son Abiathar fled to David at Keilah, Abiathar brought a priestly ephod with him.
Abiathar, son of Ahimelech, who had fled to David, went down with David to Keilah, taking the ephod with him.
Now it came about, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David at Keilah, that he came down with an ephod in his hand.

Abiathar, the son of Ahimelek, had brought down the sacred linen apron with him from Nob. He did it when he ran away to David at Keilah.
(Now Abiathar son of Ahimelek had brought the ephod down with him when he fled to David at Keilah.)

Now it happened, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David at Keilah, that he went down with an ephod in his hand.
When Abiathar the son of Ahimelech ran to David at Keilah, he came with a linen vest in his hand.
Now when Abiathar son of Ahimelech fled to David at Keilah, he brought the ephod with him.

When Abiathar, son of Ahimelech, came to David at Keilah, he had fled carrying a sacred priestly garment.
When Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, he came down with an ephod in his hand.
And in that time, wherein Abiathar, [the] son of Ahimelech, fled to David into Keilah, he came down, and had with him (the) ephod, that is, the cloak of the highest priest. (And when Abiathar, the son of Ahimelech, joined David at Keilah, he brought the ephod with him.)
And it cometh to pass, in the fleeing of Abiathar son of Ahimelech unto David, to Keilah, an ephod came down in his hand.
