²⁶ May ^(A)those be ashamed and altogether humiliated who rejoice at my distress;
May those who ^(B)exalt themselves over me be ^(C)clothed with shame and dishonor.

¹⁶ For I said, “May they not rejoice over me,
Who, when my foot slips, ^(A)would exalt themselves over me.”

¹² For it is ^(A)not an enemy who taunts me,
Then I could endure it;
Nor is it one who hates me who ^(B)has exalted himself against me,
Then I could hide myself from him.
