Psalm 49:18-20

¹⁸Though while he lives he ^(A)congratulates ^[a]himself—
And though people praise you when you do well for yourself—
¹⁹^[b]He will ^(B)go to the generation of his fathers;
They will never see ^(C)the light.
²⁰^(D)Mankind in its splendor, yet without understanding,
Is ^(E)like the animals that ^[c]perish.
