Psalm 40:13-17

13 (A)Be pleased, O Yahweh, to deliver me;
Make (B)haste, O Yahweh, to help me.
14 Let those be (C)ashamed and humiliated together
Who (D)seek my [a]life to sweep it away;
Let those be turned back and dishonored
Who delight in [b]evil against me.
15 Let those (E)be [c]appalled because of their shame
Who (F)say to me, “Aha, aha!”
16 (G)Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
Let those who love Your salvation (H)say continually,
“Yahweh be magnified!”
17 As for me, (I)I am afflicted and needy,
[d](J)May the Lord think of me.
You are my help and the One who rescues me;
Do not delay, O my God.

Who say, “Aha, aha!”
4 Let those be joyful and glad in You
All who seek You
And let them say continually,
“Let God be magnified,”
Those who love Your salvation.
5 But (D)I am afflicted and needy;
(E)Hasten to me, O God!
You are my help and my protector;
O Yahweh, do not delay.
