⁸^(A)They shall give thanks to the Lord for His mercy,
And for His ^[a]wonders to the sons of mankind!
⁹For He has ^(B)satisfied the ^[b]thirsty soul,
And He has filled the ^(C)hungry soul with what is good.

¹⁰There were those who ^(D)lived in darkness and in ^[c]the shadow of death,
