¹⁴ Therefore it is said in the Book of the Wars of Yahweh,

³⁶ Your servant has struck down both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has ^[a]reproached the battle lines of the living God.”

⁴⁷ and that all this assembly may know that ^(A)Yahweh does not save by sword or by spear; ^(B)for the battle is Yahweh’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

²⁸ Please forgive ^(A)the transgression of your maidservant; for ^(B)Yahweh will certainly make for my lord an enduring house because my lord is ^(C)fighting the battles of Yahweh, and ^(D)evil will not be found in you all your days.
